^I love Geralt's dry sense of humor.
It's pretty much the main reason I was able finish The Witcher 2.
I think I'll fall in love by Ciri ![]()
I wonder if.. we will just play with Ciri in flashbacks.

I doubt we will play her during flashbacks at all.
From what has been confirmed. Ciri will be playable for about 10 times, each time 10-15 min long. So probably about 2 hours overall and only during key story moments.

Apparently this scene is not flashback, it's just a dream of Geralt, given the reason he says Yennefer never in Kaer Morhen. The wild hunt appears and kidnaps Ciri and after this Geralt wake up with Vesemir and game really begins.
I know it's a dream. Therefore flashbacks have never been confirmed. People just assumed it because of the screenshot you posted. But the screenshot is from a dream and not a flashback. You should put that in spoilers btw. There are certainly some people who don't want get spoiled the start of the game.

Sorry, I will put the spoiler tag. However, it has been confirmed that the save import will be by the barber or Dandelion?

Not 100% confirmed, but several magazines wrote, that it's the barber. It also makes more sense, as we will meet him rather early, while I'm pretty sure we won't meet Dandelion in the prologue. Would be a bit late to create a world state after the prologue.

In the German interview that you posted(you, don't?) says it's from the barber, but Twitch devs said it was by a bard.

Several previews wrote it's the barber. The devs weren't clear, although I thought it's Dandelion too after watching it, but they didn't say it clearly. For me it doesn't make sense as I doen't think we will meet Dandelion in the prologue (if that would be the case, one of the previews would have mentioned it, since they could play the whole prologue.)

It makes sense, like the way they will import your save, I hope this in pc too, I'm too lazy to replay the games.

Which barber? The one in that bathtub scene in Vizima? Isn't that the end of the prologue? Well, I guess it's not too late for decision import by then...

It's close but not quite throwing them a bone, if you know what I mean.
His dick. That's what I mean. I'm referring to his dick.
^ We'll I'm glad we've settled that. Lighten up mate, we don't take dicks seriously in this thread.

I have to admit, the game has yet to look as good in motion as the screens portray.

Yeah I wonder what the settings are in the screenshots?
Also, with the system specs I have been wondering what settings I will be playing at. According to the press, the pc had a 980 in it and the game was running really well on high, but according to them the same system will be able to run ultra just as well on release.
I have a 780ti and an i5 -4670K, the only problem is I am playing at 1440p. So I think i might have to turn some settings down. Any thoughts?

This is really disappointing. If true then there's no reason for me to buy this game at all, at least not at full price.

It's a trilogy about Geralt, not Ciri. I'm concerned she might be a distraction. A lot of people from the RED site don't like her character.
What don't they like about her?

Personally speaking, from the witcher novels I read that featured her (Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt), she's just not that compelling of a character and hogged the focus away from Geralt.

One reason is Sapkowski goes 4th wall breaking AWOL with her. I've read snippets and it sounds cringe worthy.

In the forums they say it is because it ends up being the protagonist of the books.

I've also heard accusations of her being a Mary Sue.
Ciri is one of my favourite characters. ![]()
I for one am extremely grateful for her inclusion. Hell, I wish there was more.

That's not too far off the mark. There's actually a jab at that in an exchange in Witcher 1 between Geralt and an InnKeeper, where the latter talks about a girl who was a princess, sorceress and a witcheress and Geralt's responds with "all three? Isn't that a bit much?".

God, I hope they don't go all Bioware with her. She needs to have weaknesses and be a grounded character. The lead writer even admitted she was a bit of a mary sue. Hopefully that means they'll make adjustments.
