I dont know Luxorek. A longsword is often suprisingly clumsy at cutting away meat parts. You dont often for example see meat vendors wielding that long instruments at their trade do you? Makes sense to me for Geralt to have very sharp knife specifically for "quality cutting" so to speak.

I was being only half-serious  ;) A small knife like that makes sense for skinning or precision cutting - less so when you need to cut off an entire head of a giant monster. One good swing with that steel sword and there goes the head.

But that's just joking on my part.

I have one more complaint actually. And it's a major one. I have no idea how CDPR didn't see that.

Ekhem...

Even if she is. I'll bet Geralt would be still be able to lure her to his bed ;)

A pity. I would trade Yennefer and Triss for her.

That sounds like it would be more Jaskier/Dandelion's style.

Finally dusted off The Witcher and am replaying as a dryad just to mix things up. Quest-wise it'll be a tuned neutral path for import into the next two games.

Oh great, now I'll keep thinking of Hawke when she talks.  (I do like Jo Wyatt's voice though)

Same. :pinched: She's good, but it's going to be difficult to not hear Hawke when she talks.

I can't recall what Hawke sounded. I don't think it'll bother me.

Won't be a problem. Will most likely play it with Polish voices with English subs. :P

Good choice. I didn't play DA2 that much so i won't get any Hawke vibe from her.

She also voiced Imperial Agent class in SWTOR and i really liked her performance there.

Am I the only one who thinks Charles Dance is too old for Emhyr? 68 y.o. voice for 45-50 y.o. character.

He deserves a younger, more energetic voice IMHO. I mean, look at him:

Spoiler

I love Dance's voice but it just doesn't work here.

I don't think age matters on the voice, it's how you use it and in the end it comes down to personal preference. Ever since i've heard Dance in SoD trailer i couldn't imagine anyone else as Duny.

Age of the voice actor doesn't matter that much, how old his voice sounds when voicing this character does. Emhyr in SoD trailer sounds too old and tired for a sparky ruler in his 40s whom I imagine when reading Lady of the Lake (he's ~40 there, ~5-8 years before W3).
