I'm interested in playing as Ciri.

 

Mostly because I'm curious what they are gonna do with her POV story.

Playing as Ciri is probably one of the things I'm most hyped for. Glad it's a significant aspect rather than just tiny chunks. The gameplay difference with Ciri's powers and different skill set will be interesting.

Would be cool if we could switch between Geralt and Ciri in the open world once the main story is completed or something, but I don't imagine that'll happen.

It's been so long between them, I'm mostly looking forward to Geralt's reaction to how Ciri has 'grown up.'

Can't say I'm a fan, but not because of Ciri. I really dislike it when games force me to change protagonists for any lenght midway.

In my case, I do not want Geralt gets forgotten because of the importance of Ciri.

Ironically, there's an interview with the lead writer where he says the exact same thing. There was apparently a lot of debate on including her. I really only have two concerns left about the game: PC features and playing as Ciri. I didn't mind the character swapping in TW2 because it was so short, but we'll be playing as Ciri for 30-40 minute chunks. On the other hand, It's cool we get to play as a female fighter with different abilities.

 

I suppose I'm happy for the people who want a female character; I just don't like like my POV swapping out. Though I think mechanically Ciri will work a lot better than it did in TW2 since (unlike one sequence I'm thinking about) we're not going to all of a sudden use a whole new style of combat for a dramatic boss battle.

 

This was the best news i ever got by witcher tbh.

TLOU did it and it was awesome.

 

Can't say I was a fan of TLOU for a lot of other reasons, so I can't really be objective about how it did it.

 

Some games have made multiple protagonists work, so I'll be approaching it with an open mind. GTA 5 is probably the best example.

I wonder if we have access to Vizima as well. I know they only mentioned Oxenfurt and Novigrad as playable cities, but who knows!

Well at least the throne hall of Vizima will be accesible, considering that one scene with Emhyr in the trailer. Would definitely be cool if we could witness parts of Vizima again. A nice trip on memory lane at least.

I highly doubt this will happen. CD Projekt said that this game is still about Geralt.

Sadly, no. According to gamepressure the story will be limited to the palace only.
