Combat still looks pretty choppy, even in that magic vid.

 

It almost reminds me of Assassin's Creed, except really slow and it looks like inferior A.I overall.

 

I don't know,the magic looks cool, but i'm not wowed by that video. 

 

Combat has never been a strength in Witcher games, I found. TW2 had glorified hack and slash, which will probably be polished (eh) in TW3. TW1 gave me nightmares, that was one truly horrible combat system. Simon Says with swords, really?

 

EDIT: Also, that video reminds me why I never go to IGN. I dearly hope CDPR didn't do that ''montage'' themselves, I closed the video after 15 seconds of that dubstep-y abomination they call music.

I'm guessing there'll be a benchmark option in the main menu for Witcher 3? 

 

I guess it'll random settings due to my setup, then with any luck I can tweak them then hit the benchmark up.

 

Also a Nvidia Game ready driver was released for GTA today. Hopefully one will be ready for The Wild Hunt. A Game ready driver + my rig should give me a lovely experience.

Combat will be fine. I have read tons of impressions from journalists who played the game in the last months and almost all of them liked the combat.

The ign video is just horrible, almost unwatchable. Whoever edited it should be ashamed.

Are they still saying Console = PC high? Unless they're doing slav magic with optimization I can't imagine how they're getting it to run at 1080p and 30fps with those visuals on something less powerful than my three year old GPU.

I was just looking at the Xbox One Witcher 3 page they got setup. It said the file size for Witcher 3 is 25.15 GB. I am not if that is an error or not. If not I thought it would be around 40-50 GB.

 

I haven't checked, where do you see this? This in the store?

I know PC users will be downloading a wopping 40 - 50gb for Witcher 3.

 

As long as some it includes Female Elf romances, I'm all good.

No need to hope;it'll happen. I know the Xbox One will have pre-loading for it(be a bit silly if it didn't, lesser games have had it), so Steam absolutely should.

Consoles run a mix of low/medium/high with the aspects most detrimental to the perceived visual fidelity (textures, foliage, particles) being on high, thus they can afford to claim Console = PC high while not stepping out of the 'sufficiently true for PR' zone.

in Witcher/Witcher 2, you could end up sleeping with everyone and Triss doesn't take offense.

 

 

Triss is borderline obsessed with Geralt for various reasons. They toned it down a bit in the games, but it's still obvious she's super into him while Geralt doesn't seem as interested.

 

In general Geralt has pretty terrible taste in women. He tends to put his dick in crazy.
