That sounds like how they handled a form of Save import in Mass Effect, with that comic thing they did.

I think thats mainly for consoles, however on the pc, I'm pretty sure we have save imports, as well as the option to choose events that Geralt speaks of. Which I might end up choosing myself if I can't get a Witcher 2 run done/find a save online to download. And the chance to listen to Geralt again? Yes please.

I have four different save files on Witcher 2. I could send them to you if you want.

It will not make much difference, since what matters will be counted to the barber and from what I understand in the pc Roche tattoos can be imported by the save, but nothing ''more'' than that.

Alright, good to know. I'm glad they included the tattoo.

“Geralt's face actually changes the higher his toxicity is,” CD Projekt’s lead quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz tells us. “As you know, Witcher elixirs are highly toxic, and could kill a human if he/she drank one. Witchers are more resistant to this toxin, but it does influence them. In game you have this ‘toxicity bar,’ which shows you how intoxicated Geralt is.”

Alchemy will make a good difference in this game (hopefully) in the first made at least.

So not only does the beard grow but also physical changes when using elixirs? Nice! I approve of these aspects!

Dayum, Geralt, you don't look too good.

Geralt: What makes you say that?

Well, for starters.. you got a pair of massive hernias growing out of your eyeballs

That's actually really cool. Reminds me of TW1's intro video, where Geralt's appearance got more beastlike when he downed some potions.

It also happend during the CGI trailer of The Witcher 1.

I approve of this design choice.

Aren't the CGI trailer and the intro video of TW1 one and the same? :S

Yeah they are.

Edit: I only just now see that you were talking about the intro video  :pinched: My mistake.

Y'know now that I think of it, TW3's CGI trailer was a bit disappointing. Geralt vs the Striga was amazing. Letho's badassery was awesome. Yennefer blowing up an entire army was cool and all, but somehow less memorable.

This is how he will look if he drinks too much potions... geez, reminds me on renegade Shepard.

Better than looking like a Terminator knock-off though, and The Witcher opening cinematic did this face-reaction-to-potions 3 years before ME2 did the Terminator thing for Renegade points.

Only about 1 month to go until download unlocks. Definitely avoiding story spoilers until then, but features like Geralt's face and beard have me looking forward to those and other potential dynamics in this awesome looking game.

I think this was the best of the bunch:

Forgot about that one...I think TW2's was my favourite, but Killing Monsters is up there. The fact that the whole monologue was pretty much a callback to the books was neat.

CD Projekt Red said it would not involve a ''lot of politics'' in this game, it seems not.

I'm sure that disappoints a lot of people, but I'm glad we're getting a more personal Geralt story this time, IMO.

Oh definitely. I enjoyed playing Geralt from the beginning as our connection to the guy developed as Geralt developed, due to his memory loss.

I wonder if at the start of the 3rd game, Geralt will have ALL his memories back. I know during Witcher 2, some of the "core memories" returned (his death, what happened to Yennefer etc) although I may of forgotten if it was implied by the end of Witcher 2 that he got all his memories back.

I wonder if Yeneffer has her memories back. The gameplay trailer showed them on the Unicorn, and for those not familiar with it, that was the same Unicorn Yeneffer and Geralt had in their house. Yennefer was quite fond of...engaging on it shall we say, but much to Geralt's delight, it broke.

So either that scene is a flashback, or Yennefer got her memories back and repaired the Unicorn. Or maybe it was repaired after it broke, before the games started.

While I'm Pro Triss, I'm very much eager to see how Geralt and Yennefer react to each other upon their first meet/reunion. Who knows, Yennefer might pull me around to her.

Spoiler

Spoiler

It seems she has her memories back, as she quotes the unicorn and she is who asks Geralt to go after Emhyr, it actually makes a proposal (according to the previews). There is much discussion about it, because the people who are in favor of Triss says the time she ran out of memor may have changed Yennefer as ''changed Geralt'', but we do not know how long it was, but she tried to seduce one of Letho friends in this period. And who is in favor of Yennefer says they are connected to fate and all, they have a love story.

Whatever.

The purpose of the game is you be him, then in the role of Geralt, I prefer that random elf.

But if they press me a lot, I'll see if will have the option ''rebuild Kaer Morhen''
Otherwise, the best sex scene wins. ( Joke)

Seriously, it's difficult to choose between them.

Right now I'm still thinking I'll have Geralt and Yennefer stick together. But I have nothing against Triss. If I play the game more than once I might even pursue that story.
