Would be neat if we continue the games with Ciri as the protagonist. Doesn't have to be with the same title though.

“Geralt's face actually changes the higher his toxicity is,” CD Projekt’s lead quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz tells us. “As you know, Witcher elixirs are highly toxic, and could kill a human if he/she drank one. Witchers are more resistant to this toxin, but it does influence them. In game you have this ‘toxicity bar,’ which shows you how intoxicated Geralt is.”
I'm not sure I understand what this means graphically. Do they mean you'll look sick?

I don't see that happening.

The higher the current toxicity level of Geralt, the more he looks like renegade Shepard in ME2 basically.

Hope not. If another game, only if it is a spin off, I hope the saga closes with a flourish.

I'd take a game in the Witcher verse with a female lead, but I don't know if any developer would do it. Would be a bit harsh given the way women are often treated in that universe.

That guy who got the files said there was plans for a '' the witcher 4 '' but without the protagonist Geralt.

Why harsh? In fact, it'd make it more awesome if the protagonist was a woman. The game already has women like Ciri, Yenn and Triss who don't take shite from anyone.

Well, you could still kind of get away with calling the series 'The Witcher' with Ciri at the head. A stretch, but it could work. :S
I hope it happens tbh, as far as I'm concerned she's the most suitable person to take the lead if Geralt's story is truly over with TW3.

Is Ciri a witcher though? I didn't read the books if it's mentioned in them...

Oh believe me, I think a game in that universe would be awesome from the perspective of a woman that incessantly puts people in their place for their actions and ideas towards her. It'd be badass. I just don't see a Witcher game being made without Geralt at the helm.

Nice try, but for me what Mr. Blacha writes becomes canon only if ... I like it. ![]()

The 'harsh world' argument doesn't apply to Ciri anyway. The only harsh treatment would be given to bodies of people getting uncomfortably close to her.

If they don't want to do a Witcher 4 with Geralt I would like to play with Ciri as the protagonist. I would certainly prefer it over a player-created character, which are usually shallow and bland and have zero personality imo.
But it would definitely create a lot of controversy, considering a lot of the hardcore fans (book readers) don't like her.

More games in the Witcherverse? Yes, please.
Out of established characters not named Geralt, Ciri would make the most sense probably for the protagonist of a sequel. I think in some ways playing as a new protagonist would be more interesting than having Geralt return again as the main character.

I agree with them on the question that she has more importance than Geralt, so I prefer the short stories. It made me turn up my noses when I saw that her would be playable in the third game, but the CD gave assurance that the game was about Geralt, we'll see if they're right.

Yeah. I can't really think of anyone else that could fill the protagonist spot better than her, frankly. Unless CDPR was to create their own original character for the universe, I guess, or make a player-created one - but I do kind of agree with the sentiment above that I'd rather have someone more fleshed out. Ciri is my top pick if we need a Geralt replacement after this.
Though, with her being so tied up to the main plot and the dozens of different endings they've promised, I imagine there will be a lot of fates for Ciri that might complicate such things.

The Witcher series does seems like it would fit more with a fleshed out protagonist, and Ciri is the best choice for a sequel since she's Geralt's daughter and has Witcher training
