EDIT: I genuinely like that Charles has an understanding for the character. Which may sound natural for a VA to do, but the impression I got that he is interested in what he is doing and as he said, being his first work for a game, might have brought a sense of determination for the job.

Well hello there Charles Dance!

 

Can't believe its his first VA work for a Video Game. And he couldn't of chosen a better game to begin with, with that voice he definitely brings to the table the power and presence needed for someone like Emhyr var Emreis.

 

Edited due to potential event that COULD happen in the game, even though the likelyhood of said event is probably very little. Apologies to all if indeed does happen.

For those of us who've read the books, how big of a shock do you think it'll be to players when they find out the guys real identity? That's if they reveal it in Witcher 3.

 

Also maybe you should put that inside the spoiler tags. You dont spoil anything per se yet, thats true, but I dont think its cool to rub in front of the faces of non-book-readers that fact that Emhyr even has a shocking double identity.

I don´t think they´ll keep it secret after we meet him for the first time in the game. Wouldn´t make much sense for Geralt not to bring it up when he gets his task from him.

Charles Dance added dramatic effect to the trailer itself without necessarily needing to - Hah!

Charles Dance could probably read Green Eggs and Ham and it would sound like the most dramatic, intimidating goddamn thing of all time

The more I see of this game the more I feel like CDPR looked more to RDR for inspiration than Skyrim. Which I think is good, while Skyrim is a good game, and I sunk 200 hours into it, the world didn't feel very real. It was obvious it was a game set up for you to enjoy. RDR felt like it was a real place, with real people.

Nilfgaard have no prejudice to the elves as the North.

Speaking at that girl, what do you think of the romance? I really wish I could have something with her, but I think we'll be restricted to Yennefer and Triss.

Seriously, though, in my play-through Geralt has done things that benefit and harm both the North and Nilfgaard. I guess that makes him neutral atm. Well, seeing that Emhyr var Emreis is voiced by Charles Dance, he'd better watch out for Zoltan and his crossbow while taking a dump.
