Will there be mods this time? Will the Mac version be stable?
Yes CDPR is doing mod support with a full modding tool for PC. I don't remember if it will be available at launch though.

Geralt's senses are heightened to the point that he can hear people breathing from quite far away. 25 to 30 feet, his reflexes have a similar boost, he's also stronger and more agile because of them, and can regenerate. Witchers can obviously be killed, but it's usually because they screw up or are heavily outnumbered. It's very rare that someone can kill a witcher in single combat through skill alone.
The one person who actually managed to kill witchers through skill, Bonhart, is dead himself. He was also a maniac and a sociopath, so, well there's that.
Let's not forget Geralt is probably the ONLY unique Witcher out there. Simply because he went through the normal Witcher-turning trials without a hitch, so they subjected him to more experimental ones, and lived.
I don't think any other Witcher to date has gone through that. Making him a league above the rest. Don't forget they age at a dramatically decreased rate to normal pictures. However I think Geralt is still youngish, because in the books he meets his Mother briefly, and unless stated otherwise, she was a Human still.
Come to think of it now, Bonhart wasn't the only one. While Bonhart could match your average Witcher, I doubt he'd do so well against Geralt. Heck, even Ciri was a challenge, and while she had Witcher training, she didn't go through the trials, and Geralt's uniqueness just adds in a whole new factor altogether. I wouldn't of been surprised if they DID encounter in the books, and Geralt just killed him in one stroke lol.
Anyway, the other person I believe to be on par with Witchers without being one is Vilgefotrz, who was a Wizard in the book. He's the reason Geralt walks with a limp, because he managed to out-duel Geralt and shatter his leg.
But even Vilgefortz met his fate. After killing the best Vampire ever, Regis, Geralt uses an enchanted version of a Witcher amulet (Courtesy of another Sorceress) and manages to kill the Wizard.
And yeah, Bonhart was a piece of work. A fascinating character none the less, even if just to read him duel other people.

We have to admit, all witchers are overpower. All witchers are able to kill in one hit, Letho is an example. However, The Witchers of the Cat School are known for their madness, they are known as psychopaths, It is suggested that this is one of the reasons for them to be efficient, but their madness is a bug in school experiments. However, they are one of the reasons for Wolf School be in ruins, I do not imagine less.

Sepowski can't count apparently so Geralt's age in the books is all over the place, he says he's fifty I believe. Of course he was also around for the fall of Kaer Morhen which was 60 to 70 years before the books start. CDPR says in their canon he's just over 100, and I tend to adhere to that just because it makes more sense with the time line.
I think it would've been a nice touch had they had Geralt walk with a limp in the games. I do like that they included the bite mark on his neck from Adda.
Speaking of nice touches, if you're on PC and had the tattoo with Roche's guys it will still be there in TW3. That's really cool I think.

Visenna is a sorceress, she can be centuries old.

I never understood what the hell happened there but I interpret it as Vilgefortz using ultra space magic 9000 to boost his strength, speed, reflexes and staff combat prowess somehow.

Hogwash, Regis does not die, he waits. ![]()
Spoilers, btw.

How did I miss something important like that in the books. I should re-read them considering I have all the ones available in English.
It's from Sword of Destiny, which they skipped until now, but it's about or has already been published.

What are you guys playing in between now and TW3? I've just beaten Dead Space 2, and I'm going to replay DA2, because I haven't played it since 2011.
Also Red Orchestra 2, but I'm addicted to that.

Pillars of Eternity.

Not much. Assassin's Creed:Chronicles(China) since I got it for free but there's nothing I'm really committed to.
Pillars of Eternity as well.
Preordered Witcher III, first time I broke my 'never preorder a game' principle. It comes with a powerful gaming PC...or was it the other way around? ![]()
I've been playing Borderlands 2.
That quest was weird... why was a Temerian soldier just sitting around waiting for a rescue? No way I'd turn him into the Black Ones. They can go plough themselves. Gameplay looked pretty good though.
Tried Pillars of Eternity, but although I think it's a good game, I couldn't stop thinking how much I would prefer to play Witcher 3 instead.
So currently playing GTA 5 on pc. Still want to finish Tales of the Borderlands episode 2, Batman Arkham Origins ´(almost finished) and maybe start Telltale's Game of Thrones before Witcher 3 releases. My problem with Telltale games is recently that after playing Life is Strange I don't see a reason why this kind of games can't have proper gameplay.
Nevermind: Part 3 of the gamespot preview :http://www.gamespot....t/2300-6424536/

I'm reliving Origins right now and let tell me you, playing through it now is like when i first play through'd it but those feelings multiplied.
Then I'll be picking up Pillars of Eternity monday, try to finish my Nightmare Inquisition playthrough are Origins, then play through DA2, then a new world state in Inquisition.
Also back on the Destiny grind for HoW!
I don't think I'll have time for W2 beforehand lol, so I'll hop to Nexus for a save. Or maybe just dedicated Weekends now till Witcher 3 to Witcher 2.

The PFI took part in the Battle of Brenna, under the command of the voivode Bronibor. Initially held in reserve, it was assigned to stop the counter-charge of the Nilfgaardian Nauzicaa and 7th Daerlan brigades. Consisting primarily of inexperienced pikemen matched against the enemy's cavalry the PFI sustained heavy casualties in the clash, Bronibor included. It did manifest a surprising valor however and managed to hold its ground.
Go PFI! Fight for the Free North. At least in the next time the Nilfgaardian wouldn't underestimate their enemy despite the name. ![]()

I love all the small details and book references and the game seems to be full of it
Just watching the beginning of the prologue and in the first two minutes there are already 2 references to the books (unicorn, lilac and gooseberries)
Or take this scene. Ciri having this facial expression in this painting, because she hated to wear dresses is a small but fantastic detail and shows how much the developer respects the source and tries to stay as close as possible to it..
I'm still not going to go out of my way to help them when they're invading other countries. Screw them. I also think Geralt would be really petty and stupid to bother about one soldier shooting another when he has a lot better things to do. Like the Nilfgaardians need any help fighting their wars.I'd turn the Temerian in, between Nilfgaard and the north it's debatable which is the lesser evil. You could argue he committed a war crime by attacking a medical transport, that, and he's not exactly getting my sympathies through lies.
Microsoft just got caught presenting the PC version of the game as the Xbox One version. Graphics and resolution stuff. They apologized for it today, after being caught, of course.
The 60 FPS was kind of a give-away.
So that video was not xbox1?
No, the Xbone version will only run at 30 FPS and 900p.
Lol @ the xbox trademark at the bottom right tho.
