After what seems like an eternity away from the BSN, I have figured it would be nice to pay a visit. 

That and I heard people thought I vanished. We can't have that. 

I am quite eager for the game. Now that my thesis is out of the way, I'll be looking forward to writing articles on its politics, as I had done for TW2. 
I am glad that so far, Nilfgaard does not seem to be demonized, and that Geralt can act as a collaborator of sorts if he so chooses.

Yes, I am as well pleased by what've seen of Nilfgaard's portrayal, and I hope we'll see a very multifaceted and realistic portrayal on the war in similar vein such as TW2. 

 

And I stole the role of Xanatos here, since I finally had you out of the picture (hoho!). But honestly though, nice to see you here again.

All is well yes, thank you. Submitting my thesis and all, finally have some free time. 

What I am in particular interested in is what Radovid is doing. It seems a possibility that something akin to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth might be one of the possible endings of this game, especially since Redania's symbols are historically that of Poland.

The last video shows Nilfgaard in the light that Cynthia described it:

 

"Nilfgaard is generous with those who serve it willingly." Not a bad deal compared to the endless squabbling the northern kingdoms offer. Nice to see the writers are taking a balanced approach.

Radovid has been kept in the dark ever since TW3 release (as far as I'm aware of) so yes, I do share the sentiment over being interested what he is up to (among other collaborators like Philippa, especially since she should have licked her wounds by now).

 

Considering how TW2 touched on the notion of Radovid pursuing ideas of a modern centralized state, I am curios on how he will accomplish this on the premise that have already been touched. Though still on the fence if I will support him, Philippa's goal for a world order, or just Emhyr. Going to wait for what they bring to the table in TW3.

I'm really pleased that Nilfgaard isn't portrayed as demons so far. It's that much more interesting if all sides and options got something going for them

Yeah, I'm pretty unhappy about that too. I don't think Jo Wyatt is that great and I certainly don't think her voice fits the character.

I don't think she's bad, per se, but she doesn't have much flexibility with her voice from what I've heard. I'll probably only be hearing femHawke when she speaks...which isn't what I always envisioned for Ciri. The accent particularly seems like it would be more than a little off for her.

But yes, its great to finally see some real Nilfgaard in action, instead of all the hatred that got thrown around in the previous games.

Humanizing Nilfgaard is a welcome aspect for sure, though the relationship between the nations shouldn't be that dichotomous. It is a war after all, so seeing both "good" and "bad" parts on respective parties involved should be a certainty.

Rarely I am in favor of aggressors, especially when Nilfgaard may be an allusion to my home country, but in this case, eventually the Northern Kingdoms will fall, may not be a bad idea. One thing can be said: the aesthetics of them is very good, I love the symbols, including the nicknames they earn.

I'm not sure that scene portrays Nilfgaard as the good guys either. They are after all, invading sovereign nations with the intent of conquest. That's not a good thing, even if some of the individual people taking part have redeeming qualities. The cart was also carrying supplies to the Nilfgaardians, making it a legitimate military target. 

 

In game I'll probably have Geralt try to remain fairly neutral, but betraying a slight preference for the Northern Kingdoms from time to time. It will be entirely situational however. If for example Geralt came across Northern soldiers about to murder Nilfgaardian civilians, he'd save the civilians. But in clashes between the two armies he'll either maintain neutrality or drift towards the Northern Kingdoms, depending on the scenario.
