I'm starting to wonder if I have insanely low standards or something.

I kind of liked this one, honestly. I prefered it to issue 5 and 6 which were Miranda and Jacob's search for Shepard's corpse.

I don't much care for Brooks but the culmination of her arc wasn't all that bad; altough we certainly didn't need 13 bloody comics to get to this point.

Miranda was defeated and nothing of her character beyond her loyalty was shown but I liked some of ehr lines about "drive" and she was being very cool (I remember seeing her use a sniper rifle was a dream of the fandom for some time) and it raises my satisfaction tenfold to shoot Brooks in the back now.

It retroactively makes her a liar, tough, and shows the lack of planning from the writing team because with all this, she should have been part of the Citadel DlC's main mission.

It's such a blatant retcon that I'm not even sure "liar" is appropriate. Not just in terms of what Miranda knew. Brooks is a joke and the whole DLC is a joke. But Foundation plays all aspects of the story quite seriously. But yeah, I'd have loved to have seen Miranda in a version of the DLC that is consistent with Foundation. Since Brooks swears vengeance or Miranda specifically.

That was initial my concern over the series. The Citadel DLC plays out like a joke episode who's contents, while technically canon, aren't meant to be taken seriously or referenced outside the confines of that particular story. But with Foundation this is apparently the accumulation of some very serious developments that then gets solved with people running around making jokes 4.2 times a minute.

I wonder if the writers realize that Brooks betrays the clone just like she claims everyone will betray you eventually.

I liked Brooks a lot actually in the Citadel DLC, much more interesting character than Miranda for example.

As for the Foundation comics, they aren't bad (well Jack's comic was terrible) but many of them were kind of meh with none to little new information about MEU. Artwork varies from ok to awful often even in the same issue.

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
