I have a few points...

I did not like Alix Wilton Regan's voice at all.... as a Qunari, id use it for elf or human, I hope the other one is a little deeper, it fits better for a Qunari imo

One the other hand, Dorian sounds great, Sera sounds great, and Bull sounds completely different to what i would of expected, i knew who it was Freddie Prinze Jr but i did not know he had that kind of range. Im not going to be thinking "Oh Hi Vega" everytime he talks.

I hope the decision where Leilana cuts his throats turns out does not like that no matter what you say, reminds me to much of Dragon Age 2's "choices" where no matter what the mad mental mage would try to kill everyone anyway....

Leliana has changed, catty, demanding and disobeying the inquisitor... I like it, i might have to fall out with her though....

I really am liking the look of the game overall though, It is mostly the engine, everything looks so far above what has come before.

Sumalee's voice is deeper, IMO. Her speaking voice is already much deeper than Alix's anyway. :)

anyone who frequents this forum often, as you clearly do

nope, no connection really.

you will be surprised, but i have almost no idea what names party members have. or who is who. or some meaningless stuff like LI and other crap. I am also skipping most of the info about the game in general.

In my understanding 'open world' is when you can travel from on part of it to another without obvious zoning. in this demo - there are several zones on a basis of single tileset of the Castle. So even if loading time is not that noticeable, you can see when areas replace one another. So i really don't get it why its called an open world.

Anyway i hardly matters, i really don't think that zones are that bad. Wasteland 2 have them, and i am totally fine with it. However in my opinion there is a difference between actual open world and just large areas.

But, i am mostly disappointed about combat system.

You mean you hope it doesn't turn out like that, I do too. I'm assuming(hoping) the "release him" option turns out peaceful and they purposefully avoided it because they wanted a boss fight. Also is Dorian mandatory for that quest?

Did anyone catch what Sera says after alexus is dead and the castle rumbles? I watched it twice, but i couldn't make out a word

"Wait. That's how they won. That's how it won."

I'll miss the color guard dance moves mages had in DA2, though. Shooting stuff out of your hand is cool and all, but I want to twirl dangit.

As long as Varric twirls Bianca like colorguard do with guns, I'm all for it.

I can't really come around Iron Bull and Sera voices. Iron bull sounds like those guys that have normal voice tones and then start pretending an deeper one. It doesn't feel natural. While Sera just feels a little too squeaky to me.

I didn't know the other had been revealed, just saw she was one of the voices of the boss in Saints row IV, ill have to start another playthrough with her, just to see how she does.

Your right, now corrected. As for Dorian, from the video he did sound optional.

That leads me to believe that killing the Leader must be optional, how else would you cast the spell without a mage in your party?

"Wait. That's how they won. That's how it won."

I guess they're referring to the previous battle that the Inquisitor and team had with Alexius and whatever monster he has?

That would explain how Leliana and the rest of the team got separated, and why she was surprised to see them alive.

It is odd how it looks like the torturers didn't do a thing to Leliana.

That would be extremely annoying.

Looks like you need a rogue to open the door where Leliana is. People looking to do an all out mage party or warrior party the whole way through might want to rethink that.

Looks like when Dorian walks up to the door it says 'open door' with a set of keys. Could mean you can find the keys versus having a rogue to pick, but perhaps the longer you take the difference it makes in Leliana's health/ability, etc.

Am guessing that Bioware simply wanted to show that Lockpicking was in the game.

She was captured by mages. They were probably using magic to torment her rather than tools.

Makes sense. Although didn't they show torture tools on the table in the room?

They did. Also the interrogator was beating Leliana.

Hmm, Cullen being a Templar, he'd probably have an intense strength of will to take on Alexius and the Venatori, even being able to resist any magical enthropic torture that he might sustain

The 2 mages and archer got bloody... They got bloody! Yes! I don't need to go out of my way to get characters of those classes covered in blood anymore! Hype!!!

You're a very odd man. Seek help.

it is said in the voiceover that extra dialogue is available if you take Dorian.

there's no setup to this adventure so i am wondering if you actually know that Dorian knows the mage in Redcliffe castle.

if you aren't using Dorian for a regular companion you would need a specific reason to take him with you.

At the end the Inquisitor tells Dorian "I know you cared for him", meaning his former master Alexius, so I assume they've had dealings before. Maybe it comes up in conversation earlier with Dorian.

Alexius also talks about battling the Inquisition before, and Leliana refers to a previous battle where she thinks the Inquisitor and their companions died.

That did not surprise me, she probably took Elthina's death very badly. Remember the last time someone messed with her faith? She got pretty mad about that whole blood in the ashes thing too.

Well she has just been tortured by mages...

And mages are mostly responsible for the veil tear...
