"Lee told me that my decisions will have a physical effect on the world. He said I’ll be able to build bridges that lead to new areas, drain massive lakes to reveal dungeons and destroy the fragile economy of a nearby fishing village, and other radical impacts I could have on the landscape and population."

...Whaaaaat? That sounds so cool! :D

added a few more. I think there'll probably be a couple of dozen?

"And should one of your party members fall on the battlefield mid-skirmish, any character will be able to help the teammate up."

Interesting... that sounds like ME:3 multiplayer's way of reviving fallen teammates by holding the A button while standing over them. I guess mages won't be needed to cast a revive spell, then?

Considering that spirit healer is out I don't think that the revive spell is in the game. Doubt you'll have to actively hold a button though.

One of them mention Blizzard is back has a spell!

I will be able to make my frost mage again and not just pretend to be one with two tiny spells. Yeah!

In DA][ they had "Maker's Breath" bombs that revived people, could be something like that again.

"I noticed that the telltale shimmer that denoted lootables in the first two Dragon Age titles is gone. In its place is a pulse-like search feature. This adds a bit more complexity to some of the quests requiring you to find an item in the world."

Nooooo! I'm going to miss the shiny shimmer :(

Thanks, it looks like the same one as the PCGamer article though?

nice thanks OP.

I personally always find Game informer to be reliable, fair, and unbiased.

From the GI article:

In Dragon Age: Origins, Leilana was deadly, but she had a soft side (one that you’ll be able to hear more about if she was your Grey Warden’s lover).

Don't worry the loot icon seems really easy to see

The Game informer one was really good, very descriptive of the game mechanics and the possible applications, the engage mode in particular sounds very good, sometimes in Origin I had to flash-pause just to select an target because in the melee, doing it in real-time could likely result in a mistake, I'll GLADLY welcome the middle-ground.

now all we need to know is how much ad revenue these sites get off EA before we know whether to trust the review.

There was quite a bit of names popping up without that pulse thing though, get near something and it would have a tag over it.  On pc you might be able to "keep this on always" too

Are there any recommended 'magazines' for coverage? I mean, when I scan for news, most articles say almost the exact same thing, and have about as much depth as beginning journalism projects, IMO.

The Escapist appears to be one of the better ones for me, but has not said much recently, and am looking for recommendations for others. Thanks for helpful info!

I think the shiny shimmer being gone is more of a godsend for those of us that are hoarders/OCD lol

Game Informer has been decent for DA in my experience.
