[HTTP 404]

I am thinking about doing another playthrough of just doing loyalty missions and main missions before going right into the suicide mission.  After the suicide mission I plan on doing the side missions and the DLCs.  Has anyone done this?  I am also concerned about the saved game being carrying over choices after the suicide mission to Me3.

You don't need to worry about the choices, they going to be carried over from the last save game. It does not matter, that it was created before or after the suicide mission.

I've done that before. I've even recruited a few squadmates after the suicide mission and did loyalty missions. I even had 1 squadmate killed after the suicide mission. Everything will carry over to ME3 from the last save you make in the game.

I just did this HTTP and it works fine.

 

The only inconsistency you might experience is that nearly all the side missions assume you're still working with Cerberus and for TIM, which may or may not be the case. My paragon who sided against TIM during the suicide mission had to ignore this; missions sending resources & intel to Cerberus instead of the Alliance. Bioware dropped the ball there, imo, though it would probably mean very little in the end.

I guess I didn't think it through before posting. My original thought was that it reloads a save before the mission so you can go around and do all that stuff, but then I realized if shep dies then you don't import anyway, so it doesn't matter.

cool!  thanks guys, I might do a paragon sentinel run.  I want to bring Legion with me as a paragon through most of the missions.  Also I may not recruit as many people as I can possibly get away with.

Yeah, I recently did a run like that.  Think I left Thane/Samara unrecruited and like half of the loyalty missions undone so I could bring Legion.
