[Majestic Jazz]

Just going off of the two gameplay demos, the music and ambience seems to be darker and more emotional than what we got with the previous two games. Looks like the decision to get a new composer paid off cause in comparison to Mass Effect, Dragon Age always seemed to have bland music.

What do you think?

Different composer. I agree, though. I was never a fan of Inon Zur's DA stuff (a lot of his other stuff is good, but Trevor Morris seems a better choice for DA).

Trevor Morris' work for DA:I has been fantastic so far. I will probably buy the soundtrack.

I have to agree.

 

The music for the first two games never really grabbed me, but everything I'm hearing for DA:I is sounding wonderful.

I not only agree, but I've been rewinding today's video just to hear it, plus adding the visual it was, like, atmospheric porn

I liked the music in the previous games, but this does sound much more epic, being that the entire world is at stake...which is a pretty epic situation really, I think the music suits.

 

P.s And yes, I do love it more than the previous games.

DA2 had some good pieces (Fenris' theme, Character Creation/Menu theme, Romance theme) but Origins' never really grabbed me aside from Leliana's song.

 

Inquisition though, now that music is phenomenal. Esp the map theme! I really, really hope the map theme from the website is in-game!

I still like Origins main theme and the Grey Warden's song more than the song ( with the cello artist ) I heard in BW's E3 conference.
DA:I's Into the light and in game musics sound good tho.

 

 

This is quite awesome, too much noise at the mid part tho.

 

 

I like the piano part of this song, but I'm not sure if it's really DA:I's soundtrack. Sounds freaking sad tho.

I really doubted Trevor Morris but his work so far is awesome (especially the into the light theme)

I think that piece was actually compossed by an artist 'Hi-Finesse Music', as oppopsed to being composed by Trevor Morris for Inquisition, especially as it's been used in a recent Guardians of the Galaxy trailer.

More on topic, though, I absolutely love what I've heard of the Inquisition soundtrack so far, although I also really enjoyed the DAO and DAII soundtracks.

I thought DA:O had very underwhelming music, aside from Ferelden at War and the opening riff of that darkspawn. DA2 had maybe two memorable tracks - Fenris and that Deep Roads fight music against the profane.

There were several pieces I LOVED in Origins and maybe two I liked in DA2

 

Music in Inquisition is definitely better,
