So, I've played through Mass Effect 3 a few times, and I wanted to see how the story would pan out with "no decisions" enabled with an imported character.  It was actually a fun way to play, since you didn't really know what the character would say. Pretty fun, except for the romances....

First was a fem Shep who romanced Liara through the trilogy, yet, completely burned her every step of the way conversation-wise (which i would quit, reload and change the dialouge to keep the relationship going), down to the romance scene where Shep is just like, "nah, I've got a headache."

Started playing AGAIN with a male Shep who also romanced Liara through the triology. First dilogue... "Nah, 6 months is too long. It ain't gonna work."

Why is Shep trippin' when Liara is basically the cannon romance?

By playing in the so called "Action Mode," the game will play out by itself. Romances will be rejected, 'cause the game will auto-assume that you are only playing ME3 for the action, and not for anything else, therefore, romances would mean nothing to you. Charm and Intimidate options will never be selected, and choosing between a paragon response or a renegade response will not be random, because BioWare gave specific choices for the game to auto-select already.

Hmmm... makes sense.  How the fem Shep game played out WAS pretty funny at times, though.  Although she's a paragon, she was a total -expletive deleted- to a bunch of people.

Kaiden was all like, " I want to be back on the Normandy with you", and her reply was along the lines of,

"Yeah, we're cool, but not cool enough to let you back on my ship. Tell Hackett I said hi."

Anyway, i went back to good ol' "choose your own adventure" mode after Shep burned Liara again.  Will be interesting to play the Citadel DLC with dialogue choices this time.

The main character doesn't sound terribly likeable in "action" mode.

I enjoyed it too, exactly because I knew that there were so many options for what Shepard could say next, but I didn't know which. Got me into some situations that I previously missed. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to players doing a new playthrough.
