Favourite: Cole and Dorian. Distant seconds being Viv and IB.
Least: The Grey Warden. He just seems reeeeaaaallllllyyyy generic.

It wouldn't be a Bioware game without a generic human companion/squadmate.
Favorites: Sera, Iron Bull, Dorian's mustache
Honestly I am not making this decision until I play the game. Prejudging is no way to go into it, so i intend to divest my time into learning about each one equally.
Favourite: Dorian. Just because he's from Tevinter, we finally get to learn more about the place.
Least: Vivienne, Cassandra and Cullen. Not a fan of the chantry or chantry lovers.
Meh might as well rank them
Favourite: Cassandra, Cole, Josaphine.
Admire: Solas, Blackwall.
Interested but have my hesitancy: Dorian, Leliana.
Indifferent: Cullen.
Least Favourite: Sera, Iron Bull, Varric.
Favorite: Dorian
Least favorite: Vivienne
Don't know yet, maybe I should read up more about everyone. So far the ones that stand out the most for me hmm Sera seems like fun and IB. Can't say I dislike anyone right now, I'm pretty indifferent about em.
Favourites, because I expect them to be fun and likeable: Varric, Iron Bull, Dorian, Sera
Favourites, because interesting: Solas and Cole
Least favourite ... well, maybe Blackwall because I can't really put my finger on his personality yet, somehow. Also, Vivienne's arrogance and possible hidden agenda might bother me a bit. I still expect that I'll end up liking everyone in game, though.
Favorite: Vivienne and Josephine
Least Favorite: Blackwall and Cole
I like them all. I can't decide who I love the most.
My Favorites:- Solas, Dorian, Cassandra Pentaghast, Iron Bull, Varric Tethras, Cole, Josephine Montilyet.
My Non-Favorites:- Sera, Vivienne, Cullen, Leliana.
Indifferent:- Blackwall.
I like Solas because he is a lot like me in real life, an introverted intellect.
I like Dorian because he is not like other Tevinter mages and he looks very swarthy and manly somehow. Straight guy speaking here, FYI.
I like Cassandra because she is very responsible, a secret romantic and as of right now, the only sword-and-shield tank follower we have.
I like Iron Bull because he is the James Bond of Qunaris. Nuff' said.
I like Varric because he is a scoundrel, a storyteller and a very cool dwarf.
I like Cole because he reminds me of a younger brother who wants to genuinely help other. I am the eldest in my family so the need to be all brotherly comes from there, I suppose.
I like Josephine because she is a diplomat who can hold her own with quills, inks and papers in a world of swords and magics.
I dislike Sera because she is all about the "now" and the present as opposed to looking at the long term plan or the big picture which means she is impulsive. You can wax lyrics about "the strength of the common" and whatnot but I know for a fact that you never go anywhere in life if you just think about the present and act in an impulsive manner.
I dislike Vivienne because she is a politician and a player of the Grand Game. Trusting and liking Vivienne is akin to trusting a politician in real life which is not going to happen. That woman would throw anyone and everyone under the proverbial bus if she can become the First or Grand Enchanter of something.
I have never liked Leliana since DA:O. She is a born-again religious zealot, full of hypocrisy, unable to accept reality and justifies her actions in the name of the Maker and of Andraste. Even though Marjolaine was on traitorous woman, she was and still is right about one thing :- Bards will always be bards.
I have never liked Cullen since DA:O as well. Epic retcons, his lack of thinking skills, his blind loyalty make him...well it makes him a rather good bait for demons and dragons...Not much else...
I am indifferent towards Blackwall because we do not know much about him yet.
I like all these characters right now so I cant really rank them especially since I haven't played the game although I have a feeling in my gut that I will be butting heads with one or two of them throughout the game.
Still I cant wait to see Cassandra. ![]()
Oh Cassandra you can put a dagger to my throat anytime.

Favorites:
Blackwall (Grim, bearded, grey warden)
Josephine (Hot. Intrigued by the apparent non-combat oriented skillset.)
Sera (Elves with bows make me happy)
Solas (Elves using magic make me happy)
Least favorites:
Cole (Moody assassin ghost-thing?)
Dorian (Not a fan of the 'stache. He reminds me of a greasier Prince Oberon (who I liked) with a less compelling agenda.)
Vivienne (Terrible taste in headwear)
Cassandra (I like my warrior women to be finesse based)
Iron Bull (I don't like the horns)
Characters I'd like to see: A bearded dwarf warrior in the Oghren (favorite companion ever) mold. Maybe a non-magic based healer.
Since I can't say Cole, and considering the information we have now.
Favorites: Vivienne (specially if romanceable, i have hopes that she could evolve to what Morrigan never could), Josephine (Antivan+diplomat+those eyes) and Dorian (Tevinter lore...the tevinter lore, my friends *.*, and his banter with Vivienne and IB
).
Least: Sera, she just strikes me as judgemental and problematic. But that's not the peak of my skepticism abt the character. As the Inquisitor is a "leader of leaders", it seems a little bit odd that a self-serving Robbin-hood character to consider herself "the voice of the small people, the unfavored". Now, she may be a very usefull companion when we need to invade castles and dealing with said people (leading to servants pathways or local lore and mannerism), but let's not forget that all companions will have an agenda of their own that - as leaders - will potentially affect an even greater number of people. Living in a country where historically many people asceded to power by declaring themselves representatives of the poor, only to proove themselves corrupt and manipulative - sometimes even worsening the precarious conditions of social services while stabilishing subtle mecanisms of vote control - my opinion on Sera is, for now, not the most positive.
I can't say my protective feeling towards Cole and my abhorsion for her treating him as "it", at least at first, has not contributing for the bad impression. ![]()
Nevertheless, I hope to be wrong as we get now more of the character and her development troughout the game.
Favorite: Solas, Viv, Varric, Dorian.
Least Favorite: uh... Iron Bull 'cuz Qunari.
Favorites:
Dorian (Sexy gay Tevinter mage with an awesome mustache? Yes pl0x)
IB
Sera (dat accent)
Vivienne.(I have a thing for snobbish women with extravagant fashion sense)
Least Favorite: Solas (originally it was Cole because I thought he was weird...then I read Asunder...)
