I'll make this into a list of most to least favorite, not counting returning cast members.  Out of the returning cast list, it's Varric/Cass/Cullen.

 

Just for new cast members:

 

Iron Bull

Blackwall

Dorian

Josie/Sera (it's a tie)

Solas

Vivienne (although I'm willing to give her a shot)

Based on official information only,

Favorite: Solas and Dorian - Solas' personality is nice and I'm really intrigued by his "hedge" magic. Dorian's personal arc is interesting.

Least: Vivienne - she seems so arrogant and self-centered. Her letter used to intimidate that person from going to a party wasn't good at all, really. Was it rude? Yes. Would it work? Sure. But it's writing style is rather poor. It lacks... subtlety, amongst other things. Her extremely pro-Circle stance made she seem like she would defend it to the point of fault.

Favorite: Sera, closely followed by Dorian. Both seem to have a very whimsey sort of humor.

Least favorite: Cullen. I thought he was bland and unsympathetic before and nothing I've seen yet makes me think he's different now. For new characters: Solas doesn't do anything for me.

 

Cole, I am getting more and more intruiged by.

Favorite: I had a hard time leaving out names in this list, but ultimately it's Sera and Dorian.

 

Least favorite: I don't really have a least favorite at the moment? Since I don't have a reason to dislike anyone at this time. Although, if I had to choose someone, it'd be Solas I suppose. But the thing is that he actually does sound like an awesome character, just the one I've been paying the least attention to.

 

Overall with party and advisors, my list of most-excited  (top) to least-excited-[but-still-excited] (bottom) at the moment are:

Favorites are Cassandra, Solas, Vivienne and Cole.

 

Least favorites are Cullen, Sera and probably Blackwall. Iron bull is lucky I think Qunari are interesting. 

 

I think I like Leliana more in Inquisition than in Origins.

I can't name favorites, but this is how I think of them now, given what I have read.

Looking forward to romancing - Dorian (I have a weakness for people of privilege who give it up for principles), Iron Bull (hoping my love can heal the scars within), Cassandra (strong, driven, hawt)

 

Think we'll be great friends - Josephine (I'm an accountant, so I have a fondness for someone whose weapon is the quill)

 

I'll pick their brains - Blackwall (still so much to learn about Grey Wardens), Solas (the spirits of the Fade, and GDL's voice)

 

Team 'Did you really just say that?" - Vivienne (rude!), Sera (rude!), Cole (creepy!)

TBH, I'm not feeling the majority of the characters from just their descriptions alone. 
I'm sure they'll grow on me as I get to know them, I mean I hated everything I knew about Garrus from just looking at him/the tiny description, and low and behold he's my favourite Character in Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3. 

 

As it stands now, my favourites are Cassandra and Varric, but that might because we already know them. 
After that Iron Bull. 
then.... 

 

I'm not really interested in anyone else really.

Least favorite: Vivienne (but she does seem interesting as a companion, adding a different personality and point of view)

 

Most indifferent about: Josephine

 

I do hope that like in DAO and DA2 I'll find most characters interesting and some will surprise me: I think I'll like them but nope or I think I'll hate them and end up loving them.

I find all characters interesting and I can't wait to meet them in game. If I had to chose right now, it'll be:

 

Favorite: Cole - by his description, feels like we're gonna get along quite well (I'm on page 166 of "Asunder" so he counts as "unknown").

 

Least favorite: Vivienne - may change, of course. She does sound like an interesting companion indeed but I don't really like the "Ambition" + Hidden Agenda combo nor a person who judges others by their clothing.

- Least favorite: Cole cause he is soooo creepy. And then Blackwall, cause I'm skeptical about yet another warden companion...

I'm sure she'll grow on me but from her description she sounds really boring. I love snark but I'm not sure I'll like her particular brand.

 

Also she wears ugly hats.
