... what if the explosion was caused just to get the urn for... something
What if the Urn were the focus of the explosion, a reagent used to tear the Veil?

It would make Kolgrim the unsung tragic hero of Thedas.
My guess is if the Urn is left intact that the Chantry claimed it.

Indeed.
Or they could care less about the Urn, and be after the Urn chamber instead. Doesn't Oghren comment on the concentration and purity of the lyrium in the walls?
And, wild leap of speculation with nothing to back it up, if Red Lyrium can be induced from Blue, you'd have a chamber made of pure red to use in a spell to tear the Veil.

That's more likely. It's almost certainly why the Urn has the healing powers it does.

I don't disagree, but it would be interesting to find any historical accounts discussing the urn prior to its disappearance. Did it already have healing powers? Did it have powers, but they were not quite so all-healing? Were the stories merely anecdotal, or are there ledgers of the miracles?
It's a little sad to think of the history that might have rotted away or been looted from those breached libraries over the years.
The chantry's property
I would say that the Chantry owns the building the urn is in, but you cannot use the urn without the approval of the Guardian, so the Urn "belongs" to him.

The Maker owns it like any person owns the urn of their deceased spouse.
But The Maker abandoned existence.....so wouldn't any claims to ownership be forfeit?
I'm mean lore-wise he just up and left.....so its not lost or something left behind running from an enemy army or something.
He effectively gave up ownership of it.
As for the blood dumped in the ashes I believe he specifically said that was dragon blood, the high dragon's since it was needed to free it and allow it to move on from its "past life".
Which always made me suspect that back in the day; the followers of Andraste used blood magic or some such thing to "lock" it there so as to have an additional guardian protecting the Ashes.
Ashes being destroyed by the blood or at least rendered ineffective; if its really the power of The Maker in them, and The Maker didn't receive a fantastical drop in power from having made existence......than it would be pretty doubtful that anything as minimal as dragon's blood would have an effect on the ashes.
Now if they are magical for some other reason; then yeah they could have. Unless of course "all" dragons are in some way divinely related to The Maker......which would be interesting and explain why they could effect the ashes.
@GodModeAlpha
Want I mean by dubious is we don't know if The Guardian is technically alive or if he was ever a human in the first place. Isn't that what the various Ghosts we see in dragonage are? Spirits who have actually forgotten they weren't those people despite not even having been abominations?
@bunch1
Well; Psuedo-Weylon had been there for a few weeks, and he was pretty easy about giving up information to you. Sure he assumed you would end up dead but its a bit of a distance between there and the inn. Its quite possible that the various knights and even Genetivi on his earlier trip told people what they were doing and up too.....actually I imagine Genetivi probably told as many people as he could that he at least trusted.
So its not too hard for the information to get out there despite the cover up that had already been done.
@TK514
Its not the chamber but the mountain that has lyrium running through it.
Oghren was wondering what was magical; the ashes or the mountain.
Considering that hidden room with shelves of books in the cults church where they kept genetivi I have to wonder what they are keeping from the other cultists.
Well it's in Ferelden land, but both the versions of the Chantry are run in different countries (Tevinter and Orlais).
I guess it belongs to whoever can claim ownership and defend that claim with the right force.
Talking about legal ownership of Andraste's Urn....never change BSN.
.............
No one.
Something that makes the nature of what kind of blood Kolgrim gives you even more iffy......Kolgrim refers to it as "drawn from the beating heart of a wyvern" but if Morrigan is there she specifically mentions dragons blood.
Unless; Wyvern's being "cousins" to the mainstream dragon's actually are kind of dragon, like a different breed of dog but still a dog.
I would guess the chantry owns it but that remains to be seen.

Isn't lyrium highly explosive? So they had the means to kill everyone at that conference, which in turn would create the breach.
Oghran said that the mountain where the urn was located was the largest and richest deposit of lyrium he'd ever encountered. That's probably why the first breach happens there. Recall that the Magisters, the only people known to have physically entered the Fade, require a serious blood sacrifice to do so.
The Fade Breach probably requires Massive Amount of Lyrium + Massive Blood Sacrifice in the form of everyone who died at the conference.
You're probably right.
But it makes me somewhat dizzy ...I mean it doesn't sound like some kind of unhappy coincidence.

It's what Anders used to blow the Chantry.
This makes me wonder now if the entire mountain will be gone.
Nobody owns the Urn.
God owns... its God's Urn.
Considering it contained the ashes of his dead lover, I'm compelled to agree with this. I doubt Andraste has any next of kin walking through thedas these days.

As a cultural artifact, the Chantry has the best claim to it.

Lol sound like something out of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood as for the Urn "sigh" yet another Dragon Age decision stomped on I murder knifed that brother because the sacred ashes must remain hidden.
I don't get why everyone keeps saying Ferelden owns the land when the Chantry could have just bought the rights to it at some point in the last 13 years, particularly since the crown owns no land and all of Ferelden is owned by Teryn, Arls, Banns, and Freeholders. If Anora is in charge she wouldn't know and just sold a plot of land on a mountain side, Allister may have sold it to them if they came to him given his beliefs and background. It does bother me since I played a generally nice guy but killed Genativi just so the Ashes wouldn't be disturbed by thousands of pilgrims would likely take all the ashes within a decade or two.
