I don't get on these forums much, so I bet this has been asked before...so at the risk of sounding like a buffoon;
Anyone have any opinions on which platform to go with on this game? I played ME1 on the 360 and loved it. Is there any advantage for the PC version? (never played the PC version)
I have already pre-ordered the CE for the 360, but I was looking at the Inferno armor and would really like to acquire that and I am willing to fork over the dough for the digital CE edition from Direct2Drive.
Any insight or opinions on this would really help me out.
Thanks
Pc or 360?

Well, do you know you can't carry your Xbox character over on to your PC game?

PC all the way. I don't own a console, though if ME didn't come out for PC, i'd have bought a 360.

Since it's mostly a personal preference, PC all the way for me
even if I've got an Xbox 360 and recently bought Mass Effect 1 for my brother on Xbox 360..
It seems, atleast for this one, that the PC version has just a slight better graphic, customizable, with a higher screen resolution.. that's all.. the rest (controls etc...) it's just a personal preferrance

Well in the live feed playthrough they said it was made for the 360 1st then on the PC, and yea for PC it looks a LITTLE better, it's practically the same thing

PC. Always. But then I'm a PS3 man myself, so anything to do with the Xbox makes me shudder with hatred.
But seriously. If your PC is even half-decent, it'll be faster, more responsive, more flexible and have better sound and graphics than a 360 ever could.

It depends on your preference. I think both versions will play just fine if the first game was any indication. For you I'd suggest just sticking with 360 since you can't transfer your 360 save files to a PC. Unless you feel like buying both for the PC and 360. I did that.

I liked mass effect on the PC over the 360. PC has better loading times and the grahpics are not limited to 720p and so on.

thanks for the input.
I think I will go ahead and order the PC version too...I realize that the characters or save games don't transfer over, but I usually play through a game like this several times with different classes.
My ideal situation would be one where I could just purchase a code for the inferno armor. Too bad Bioware doesn't have an option like that.

i'm buying it for PC, i like prefer to sink thousands into a system that works. Any system thats died and had to be replaced in 2 years isn't stable enough to run this beautiful game (call it bs i don't care, I HAVE replaced it TWICE in 2 years (elite was my second but wasn't any better, its just more expensive to replace), 2 faulty x-boxes ruins the whole system for me) There is also considerably less Noise coming from those terrible fans on the x-box compared to my compy.

It depends on how good your pc is, and how you like to play mouse and keyboard or controller. I pick 360 i aint got a gaming pc i got a laptop, i like controller better and i like to relax on my bed while i play. But it's your expirence nobody can say what is best becuase you might prefer it differently, everyone has a different oppinion.
