Most people can't see him and he's kind of a spirit so cant really die? At least justice inhabited a body and could be theoretically banished back to the Fade if you killed the body. I dont think that really applies to Cole

They'll probaly make his spirit abilities part out his talent tree just like with Fenris and his Lyrium markings. The invisibility will likely have a big cooldown as well.

Maybe he can't die like a mortal being, but he can become incapacitated like any companion does in battle. He won't be overpowered.

I have a feeling the way Cole will be is nothing too different to how a thief can go into 'sneak' mode and run around the target sort of invisible until they attack. Cole needed a rather focused and slow concentration when he went and killed three templars, if it slipped up I'm sure he would have been seen since he can be noticed at least by some. So in a big fight he'd probably be unable to focus fire his invisibility on a person as well, certainly if he doesn't auto assassinate them so getting back into 'sneak' mode would be harder at that point.

And I'm sure the Fade ripping open and making everything all weird would be effecting his skills enough to not constantly being invisible. He's really not that OP in a skill standpoint, if anything he's like a sneak assassin to begin with.

well, if the whole breach thing didnt render his invisible powers invalid, whatever happened at the end of asunder would probably have done so....  Basically they will probably make it to where he can be seen normally and killed normally as if he was a normal being....  Plus we arent entirely sure what he is right now, so the whole just go spirit form and inhabit another body thing might not work

I'm halfway through Asunder now, I bought it yesterday.

The more I read about Cole the less I am liking him. The most interesting thing about him is that he's a serial killer. Everything else is really quite forgettable (pun intended.)

Unless they pull some brilliant feat of storytelling I don't see that changing by the end of the book.

It could be that the big hole in the sky that the game centers around has some affect on Cole so that he's not nearly as invisible.
