I preordered the collectors edition from the EA store and received a shipping confirmation notice this morining saying that the order began shipping.  However, the is listed as simply mass effect and when clicked on give the info for the first game.

I double checked the order confirmation and it has the ME2 collectors edition as my order.  So i'm just wondering if they're listing the game as mass effect for simplicity.

If anyone else has had this issue or not had it I would appreciate some insight.

Yeh, it's listed as 'Mass Effect' on mine too. The SKUs are the same though, so I wouldn't worry.

Same thing with mine, SKU's match, so hopefully that means all's well.

Seems the EA Store is pretty effed up lately. My emails say Mass Effect 2.

Earlier this week.

So you're saying that you pre-ordered earlier this week and already got a shipping confirmation email detailing that your order is being shipped but I ordered mine last month and mine is still "in process"

Not blaming you or anything, I feel good for you that your ME2CE is on the way, but I just don't see what EA Store is doing, it doesn't make sense that an older order is still in process but a newer one is already done, that is just backwards....

My confirmation email from the EA store has "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 2 C" when referring to the product SKU and the shipping information, respectively. At the end it cut off my email address in the billing information so I just assume the email bot has some sort of character limit for the fields.

If someone who's confirmation says ME2 could check this. My product SKU is 16880. Any confirmation would be appreciated. (This is for the collectors edition)

Honestly, just look at the billing amount. If the price matches the CE you're probably fine.

I ordered the CE for the 360, the SKU in both the original email and the shipping email I got today was 16880, and the price charged was about $76 (69.99 +tax, free shipping). The shipping email lists the product name as "Mass Effect", but I'm really not worried since the SKUs match and the price charged is correct for the CE.

Haha EA store just lost one customer. I just ordered the colectors edition from amazon already and its already hit my Creditcard and will set for shipping soon enough. I canceled my pre order from EA they are just so not worth it.

I preordered in early november, and I just got my tracking number about 5 minutes ago. Check your email again.

Hell yeah they just lost one customer. The only reason why I went with them was because Gamestop ran out of CEs and I was in a panic so I just went with EA Store, not knowing that there is also an Amazon.com and Bestbuy.com and others to pre order teh CE.

I ordered mine Dec 8 and I got a shipping confirmation this morning. The weird thing is that I got the cheapest shipping(3-5 day ground) but when I checked my tracking number, It said 2-day air. Good for me I guess.

Same with me.  Plus I used the same shipping option for DA and got it one release day so everyone should hopefully get it no latter than Tuesday.

EA store does seem fairly disorganized, and their communication is poor. But they are getting me my copy, and on time at that, so I won't fry them at the stake. I hope they get better in the future, though.
