So, someone in the Scribbles Josephine thread pointed out that the Inquisition is shaping up to be the Thedas UN. (Couldn't find the post again to attribute properly, sorry.) We've got major characters from almost every nation:

Orlais: Leliana and Vivienne, although Vivienne is apparently from the Free Marches originally.

The Free Marches: Varric

Nevarra: Cassandra

Antiva: Josephine

Ferelden: Cullen

Tevinter: Dorian

Par Vollen: Iron Bull

... and I guess Cole is technically Orlesian, too, unless we want to consider him our official representative from the Fade. With Dagna playing some kind of role, we've even got someone from Orzammar.

The only nations we're missing (if you don't count the heavily contested island of Seheron) are the Andefels and Rivain, and we don't actually know where Blackwall, Solas and Sera are from yet. If none of them are from either of those places, I hope we have some other minor Inquisition members to truly round out our roster.

Of course, there are also populations that don't give allegiance to any nation - notably the Dalish, the Chasind and the Avvar. Would be interested to see some representation from them, as well. (At least we can play as a Dalish elf if we want to.)

I'll eat my hat if Sera isn't from Ferelden.

Ferelden or the Free Marches, would be my guess.

So if the Inquisition is shaping up to be the Theodosian equivalent of the UN, does that mean that it will spend most of its time imposing ineffectual sanctions, sending inspectors into countries that are swiftly turned away, and bickering over what exactly constitutes the proper course of action?

British accents seem surprisingly widely distributed across Thedas. I'm betting on one of those options too, though.

I have no idea what to make of Solas sounding Welsh when he's not Dalish. Apparently he grew up in a village, but I don't think there's any word on its location.

Might be that most of his interactions with people is Dalish. Ghost people and normal.
