How do you all think Sandal is going to figure within the game? Will he just be an npc that dispenses enchantments, or do you think that he will play a more substantive role?
He essentially predicted the events of Inquisition in DA2, and seems to have some connection to Flemeth, so I am inclined to think the latter.
I've always been in the camp that Sandal would eventually play a bigger role than just enchanting, with all the hints of his strange powers being thrown about. I know that lovable Dwarf is hiding something. 
He'd be 10 years older now right?
And as much as it is tradition to be rescued by Flemeth after defeating an Ogre, what would the game be without finding Sandal surrounded by a pile of mysteriously dead things with that happy smile on his face? That's got to be in the game somewhere ...
"Sandal? Did you do this?"

I srsly want moar Sandal. I was worried he was just gonna be one big punchline on mental disability but then holy Andraste's knicker-weasels. Savant don't play that!
I really hope we get to see him again, and actually get some answers as to what exactly his deal is.
I got so creeped out yet intrigued to find him surrounded by death darkspawn.

I think that we will see him again in Orlais since in DA:2 Act 3 Bodahn said they had been invited to court by Celine--she had heard of the greatness that is Sandal and his enchantments--so If that is the case I hope we get to take him back with us to the keep cos Sandal is the **** and it wouldn't be the same not having him around.

I think that is more or less confirmation that they will be in Orlais, then.
Bodhain and Sandal have been in every Dragon Age game thus far, and seeing how Inquisition "sets the precident" for next-gen (now current-gen) RPGs then you can bet they will show up in game.

Damn well better, he is one of the most intriguing characters in the franchise. We barley know anything about him and with those enchantments and his capability to decimate large groups of enemy's with them I'm questioning whether or not he is more powerful than my protagonists

Oh my god I'm not the only one with that ill feeling. I don't know why either but I feel the same way, i already see something tragic coming up and that Sandal is forced to be taken care of by the Inquisitor or something due to the melancholic and crisis like mood that is presented so far in Inquisition *God this feels like Mass Effect all over again*
On the bright side I'm almost 98% sure that they'll both appear. That piece of Sandal's dialogue in his procephy was so Sequel bait, they most definitely put that there on purpose and it had to be said by Sandal just because, Sandal. I mean they have to have some characters that appear reoccurringly. I already look forward to both of their future exploits.
If Sandal comes back, I really want to find out more about his past and hope there's some character development. It's clear he's smarter then his one liners would imply, so it's time to move beyond the funny-in my opinion anyway.

Oh, they did? But that would make me so sad.

Actually, now that I have got my memory running I think you might be correct.
He will steal Inquisitors moment of glory and enchant the **** out of the veil, saving the world and be proclaimed savior of Thedas. When asked in the ending what his plans are he will say "Enchantment!".

hes the official chandelier swinger, hes only there to swing from the chandelier. joking aside, if he joins the inquisition, or even just offers his services, i think he'll be in charge of crafting entirely, not just enchanting.
