I loved the look of the combat, however, I couldn't seem to get past this one thing in it that somewhat bothered me.
See, while the protagonist killed the tevinter mage in a fairly decent time, the tevinter mage must have repeated the same line 4-5 times throughout the fight. That means that had the battle lingered just a little longer (for instance, were I lower level when going through it), it would have gotten really annoying. It already was by then too, to be honest. So I think, if at all possible, it would be great to have more varied lines, even if just another sentence or two, so we could avoid a constant repetition.

How would you have fixed it? What would you have wanted to see instead?

As you said m8, just more lines of dialogue added to him, but it was just a demo so maybe they just used a rinse/repeat approach for it an it be different at launch

Yes, that line was definitely repeated too often. More lines, or just making the guy quieter would help.
I also think that repeated lines work better if they're shorter and simpler

Depending on how many lines he has in him they should just have a line trigger at different health percentages.

Yeah, I was thinking that might work. It seemed like finally near the end, he had something more to say too, and that's when they just killed him outright.

In the case of Alexius I hypothesize that it might be a bug related to his teleportation around the battlefield; i.e. perhaps he repeats his initial attack lines each time he 'respawns' in a new location. It also could be the case that they want him to shout something at you each time he vanishes to make sure the player is aware he is not dead or defeated simply because he vanished from sight.

In some cases I do not mind battle cries being repeated a second time during the fight, only because I do not use subtitles but also hate missing dialogue drowned out by battle effects. That said, this line was repeated too often.

The latter could be quite possible, though, it would have been nice to have something more varied, like as mentioned before, a change depending on his health given that he seems to teleport depending on where his health is in the first place.

I'd like to be able to turn battle cries off, particularly if they get annoying.
I'd also like to be able to turn off enemy battle cries only. I might like mine, but not theirs.

The other way around might also be good.
In DAO, I actually thought my battle cries were the most annoying.

I also found the repetitive battle cries quite annoying. But I also thought the combat was presented poorly. Why not show us more of the tactical options available? Why do they always have to show the game mainly as a button-mashing action-RPG in the demos? :-(

But you have that ability. It's pointy at the end, sharp on both sides, and shuts anyone up if you poke them in the right spot.I'd like to be able to turn battle cries off, particularly if they get annoying.

Because that's what will appeal to the casual gamer. They don't want things overcomplicated. They just want to know they can play.
Besides, if we wanted to see tactical combat, we could just watch the old demo footage posted way back last year.

I find it highly unlikely this problem will exist in the final product. Reused battle cries were pretty persistent in the Dragon Age 2 demo, and this video was mostly to showcase the gameplay and environment.. Either more lines will be added in, or the repeating of lines will probably be cut out.

Given that everyone has seemed fairly impressed by the combat and given quite the positive feedback, it may have just been something they overlooked. Which to me, would be completely understandable.

Which can potentially take forever, if you're a much, much lower level, and really only wittling their health down bit by bit.
