Then them being annoying is your character's punishment for sucking.Which can potentially take forever, if you're a much, much lower level, and really only wittling their health down bit by bit.
Regarding the combat in Redcliffe Castle:

I noticed that too, and I kind of LOL-ed the third time he did it, thinking similarly. Seems kind of cheap, BW.
Edit: Obligatory "enemies everywhere!" "GO GO GO!"

Going there earlier doesn't necessarily mean you suck. It may just mean you took a different story path that got you there earlier, etc.

Could make it so that he says the line only once when the inquisitor is close enough or when the PC you control is close enough then stop talking.

I can see that being an issue, considering if you're playing a melee character.

I personaly thought it was because it was a demo that he kept repeating lines and maybe some haven't made it in yet. I'm sure they realize that it was over repeated, especially considering the demo itself was created three months prior to E3 so I'm sure there will be fixes here and there.
Concerning battle cries in general, I actually like battle cries, though they can be repetitive, especially in DA2 @_@ jesus, I still loved them. I hope they provide more varied lines to everyone and not just the enemies.
And on that note, I hope that the quizzy gets lotsa battle cries too. I liked it when Hawke would shout in battle and his cries would vary depending on the personality you were building him.

Would be nice if the battle cries were contextual, but that's probably asking a bit much.

I seem to recall Corypheus doing this too but the mechanics of DA2, made that boss fight more difficult than it should have been otherwise it was an inspiring, unique and most welcome boss figh. I'd like to see is combat banter from the party members, somewhat similar to that of the Corypheus battle, which I think would make it more engaging and also less repetitive as long as it isn't repeated in loops. Aside from that I suppose I'd like to see more coherent lines from the boss itself -- Have him/her/it/that say something new when it..etc health is half-way down.

Considering this was an Alpha (pre-Alpha? I can't remember) version of the game, I don't have any issues with this. If it's like this in the Release Copy, then yes, that's not going to be fun. But I have no problem forgiving cosmetic stuff when it comes to a build that's this early.

The real question is, what is the enemy attraction to Redcliffe?

Non-contextual ones useful in that they can be applied to other areas (including possibly combats that include contextual ones).
But yeah, the repetition is something that we can tweak and possibly will.
