I know it might be a little late in the day for this, but it would be nice to preview equipment before we purchase or equip. Just a "nice to have" thing.

Could be nice indeed, but suspect this isn't too high on the list given it's single player game -- you can simply save before you buy stuff, and if you don't like what it looks like just reload that save.
