I think it was confirmed that they won't be a keeper.. not exactly sure where it was said though.

Honestly, with the confirmation of the much speculated IB bisexuality, I'm gonna have a hard time on who I want to romance my first playthrough D: I'm elven mage and I was set on Dorian becuase I felt like if Bull was gonna be romancable then he was gonna be racegated or something, but now that not only is he bi but he's not racegated! jkladshfkajh I don't know how I'm gonna choose. 

 

How about you guys? Who are you set on? Or stuck between like I am? XD

 

IB is just... so so not my type physically. He's pretty much the opposite of what I like in a guy. So in terms of M/M, it's going to be Dorian, no question. M/F, I'm totally split between Cass and Josie, though I'm leaning strongly toward Cass right now. Cass/Dorian is the harder pick. I've been looking forward to Cass for a while so I'm leaning Cass. I'll play through a bunch of times, so I figure I'll save my Qunari/Dorian romance for later, and go with Cass first. A fearsome unleashed Sareebas + Tevinter renegade will have to wait for the unlikely story of a [insert human background details] Mage and a dragon-hunter turned not-quite Seeker.

I'm just going to pick which fits best.Since I am playing a Straight Male Human Rogue with American Accent who is going to be the most diplomatic & heroic character I made then it will either be Cass or Josephine or Viv.Most likely Cass or nobody.

1. Cullen - I've been waiting two games to romance Cullen, I'm not about to put it off when I finally get the chance to.

2. Solas (hopefully) - I've just always wanted a more brainy, introverted male LI than what's been available before, and he seems like he'd fit that nicely.

3. Iron Bull - so beefy.

4. Cassandra or Dorian - They both appeal to me a lot, but they would require me to make a male, so I'm not as excited.

 

After that, Varric, it's still somewhat doubtful that he's going to be a LI, and he's probably race-gated if he is, though I do love his VA, but he seems more the BFF sort. And after that, Vivienne? Sera? Blackwall? Josephine?- Not much excitement right now, even with the blurbs and interviews, I feel I don't know enough about them to get excited either way, I mean I don't even know if two of the even are LIs so I'll have to wait and see.

I plan on romancing with my Male Mage Inquisitor Cassandra and then Josephine  not sure about Vivienne because am a serious pro mage character but an see how that u can't go to far without everyone worst fears come true so we might butt heads and end up hating me then am going to do either a female Elf Mage or rogue not sure yet but when i play as a female character i can't do straight romances for some reason so i'll do Sera and Josephine she just look to good but Sera has a boar face sometimes in pictures but not in ingame from what i saw but good thing she is funny we can share that

I'm going to romance Bull with my male Qunari mage Inquisitor for my 1st playthrough, and for my 2nd, I'll romance him with my female Qunari rogue. Since I'm pretty damned sure Varric's an LI, I shall romance him with my female dwarven rogue. If Varric turns out to be bi, I'll probably romance him with a male dwarven warrior for run #3. Not sure yet who my remaining Inquisitors will romance, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. Multiple playthroughs FTW!

Gonna #ridethebull, awwwwwww yisssssss. Hooray for him not being race-gated after all! (Unless Varric turns out to be the final male romance option, and then I will #ridethebull later. Possibly with my other dwarfquisitor.)

 

Either way, I'll get to everyone eventually - eight romances is the perfect number for me, since I'm planning to play as each race/gender combination.

Before newest announcement, I was bit conflicted who to romance with my female warrior qun!inquisitor since other (known) options didn't fit my image of her. Now, however, I think I have romances for 3 first playthroughs:

 

1. Fem!qunari warrior -> Iron Bull

2. Fem!elf mage -> either Josephine or Sera, if Solas ain't romance at all (especially since I have hard time imagining that he would have racegates with his personality)

3. Fem!dwarf rogue -> Cullen (just because it's based on my SuranaWarden playthrough, another mage would have been interesting, but I want first play characters different from their respective Wardens and Hawkes)

 

And couple playthroughs with male!Inquisitors for sake of romancing Dorian and Cassandra, since I like them enough to do that.

 

There is sure lot of options this time, though.

My main playthrough will be a cocky and playful character. He will be a smale human. Thing is that from a first look, all women look super serious. So it's a question of who's behavior seems more intriguing.

 

The one that seems less likely to enable me is Vivienne. She will probably shut me down hard and if she turns out to be a romance option, she will be the obvious one.

Cassandra seems the person who will take it just because she accepts that I'm the boss. Which makes her the obvious teasing target. Let's hope I have a lot of options cause I'm going to need them ^^. Hey Cass, what starts with a T and ends with Hreat. An Inquisitor..!

Josephine gives me the vibe that she just wants to be taken seriously. She is a planner, I'm chaotic. Let's hope she realizes fast that when I say yes, I don't reaaaally mean it.

If I could romance Sera I wouldn't do it even if she sounds like a good match. If she is the "wild card", then she is the inferior one cause Isabella blows her out of the water. Can't go backwards. It's not healthy.

 

So right now, from the most interesting to less, it's Viv>>>>>>>>>>Josh>Cass. This can change if my estimates are wrong. 

The worst part is that I think Viv won't make it as an option. I was fine with it but they had to go and kick the hornet's nest with the 8 romances. I usually advocate asymmetrical romances and now my favorite character hangs in the balance. Shows what I know... ;p

3. Blackwall if he's an option and whoever he's race gated

4. Cassandra with a male dwarf

 

It's too painful to even thinking about romancing Cullen now.

I just want to know all the romance details so I can plan my inquisitors already! I'm surprised about Iron Bull not being race gated as well. I'm going to guess one female and one male romances are race gated...probably. Raises the chances of Varric being a romance in my opinion. Hoping for Blackwall though.

 

If Blackwall is not a romance then I'm romancing Dorian first. Then Cullen, most likely. Or Cassandra. Decisions, decisions.

Solas, he is the only one who is manly elfmanly enough to be taken seriously among the companions. Dude does't give a damn, he takes off and does what he wants. He arrived at the Inquisition by choice, not cause of BS reasons, or force. And he will leave, he doesn't care, he just balls like there's no tomorrow. He goes alone into ancient ruins where fake Knife-Ears don't make it back! I approve. Solas is a real elpha.

Out of the confirmed dudes for my lady elf - probably Cullen. Unless Iron Bull just really wins me over with his personality. 

 

Only one at this point who could really compete with Cullen, in my eyes, is Solas - but I've resigned myself to him most likely not being a romance option. Which I guess means if he does end up being one, I'll run around the house jumping for joy.

Me too ;_; Like I keep telling myself I have one in mind but in the end I believe it's left to how good we work in game. I'm just excited for all apsects of this game and not just romance, but I have a feeling that the romances in this game are gonna be the best in any bioware game, maybe any game in general.

Yeah the romance options this time are definitely awesome

I have two playthroughs planned and my human inquisitor will probably romance Josephine

but my Qunari Inquisitor will have a hard time deciding between Iron Bull and Dorian

 

And let's not forget there are still two romance options (which will be race gated unfortunately)

My guess is Varric who is dwarf only, and Vivienne who is...Elf only ? I have no clue.
