Well Bioware has a history of ignoring feedback before AND after a game's release, so.... yeah.

This may not be the exactly right place to complain about how hideous those new characters look (something which I agree completely).

I can't help but get suspicious that this was the very first thing you posted 4 minutes after you created your account...

(Okay I know I said I was abandoning the thread, I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist)

Two complaints in this thread are justified: 1. Some characters like Leliana have a wrong eyecolour. It was a bug, it will be fixed, problem solved. 2. Hair sometimes really looks like it's from another and much older game. There's hoping that this will change until the game ships - and if not, well, could definitely be worse.

The cast of DA:I looks distinctive, recognizable. That's how it should be, imo. It's also not like any of those characters was *objectively* ugly. Whether or not they are attractive to a specific player is a subjective matter - it's totally fine to like or not like them, everybody should just be aware that tastes differ and that there are really always both sides.

Is it just me, or does it seem like as we get closer to release more and more insanity is making its way to these boards?  I hope it's just me.

I don't think there's really any doubt that there are a number of characters that simply aren't as attractive as they could, and should, be.  The easiest example is Cassandra, who was quite attractive in DA2 and clearly less so in DAI.  The excuse that she's a battle-hardened warrior is A. Never acceptable under any circumstances, since women can be both warriors and beautiful, but especially in these circumstances because B. It's completely wrong because the game is set VERY shortly after the end of DA2, when she still looked great.  I agree they went for 'realistic' (aside from the fact that it isn't realistic for Cassandra to have lost her high level of attractiveness in the few weeks or so between games) but beautiful trumps realistic every day of the week :) .  But it's what they did with Aveline in DA2 also, there seems to be a common theme among the DA artists that women simply can't be warriors and beautiful at the same time.  Happily the modding folks don't share that view, they made Aveline beautiful and they'll no doubt restore Cassandra to her former glory also :) .

I think cassandra is the best looking female behind josephine maybe.  Different people have different opinions.

This entire thing is your opinion. Not a fact.

Not ridiculous at all. It's a video game. Bioware is a developer they can do whatever they want. If they can change something minor that can be important for a part of the players, why not? If you think that I'm the only one who think like that, think again.

BioWare are bug fixing - we are a long way past 'fixing' anything be it minor or major.

It's nothing compared to the insanity to come with release

Not true a character can go threw all of alpha and beta without a model change then on a day one patch have their appearance change. Nothing is set in stone. Also as to "Fixing" the characters I don't think as of the moment they need it they fit into the world nicely. Sure the witcher 3 looks prettier but it will likely be so bugged up the butt when it first comes out like the previous two. Where the bioware product will have more interesting and amusing bugs that are typical of its namesake. So yes bioware could make them "prettier" but they do not have to it looks great as it is now in my opinion.

We need to state this every-time we express an opinion now? I thought we were all speaking for ourselves.

Yeah, I still can't accept modded Morrigan. Original all, the way.

Personally I think DAI are miles better compared to previous installments, but eh, everyone has their opinions over matters such as these.

The character looks won't be changing as it's far too late to at this point.

Note that posting a picture of one of our characters after a mod has changed their look is a bit disingenuous :\
