Makes perfect sense, seeing the IB's comments re: breaking, etc. Also makes sense why they were focused on making sure there was no race-gating.

In panel, talking about people who complain about them spending so much time on romance. Patrick points out that 60% of the game is combat.

Also make the point that there ARE straight people who enjoy accessing the lgbt content, and that the numbers of players who access it is larger than the supposed percentage of lgbt players, so it's a mistake to say that only a small percent of gamers are wanting the gay romances.

P. Weekes: More people romanced Leliana as a a female warden than chose to play a rogue. So should we cut rogues out of our games?

I am suppressing the urge to start a rumor that Patrick wants rogues cut from the game.

It would be interesting if, outside of the restrictions of the Qun, many qunari tend to be far less sexually inhibited than humans.

That's where I met them!

 

I was only there on Saturday, so I'd already missed the BioWare panel. I heard almost as soon as I arrived in my Grey Warden costume that the Dragon Age team were handing out pins to cosplayers. I spent six hours keeping an eye out for them without finding anyone ... and then, at the end of the day when I was completely worn out and had paused to dig my water bottle out of my bag, a Canadian voice behind me said 'excuse me, Grey Warden?' And he gave me a pin!

 

So I waved my arms around a bit and told him how much I loved Dragon Age, and he called Karin over and introduced me, and she mentioned he was working on a DA book. And that's when the penny finally dropped and I realised I was flailing at Patrick Weekes. (I should have got that around 'this is my wife, Karin' but I was very tired at the time.) They were both amazing and I'm impressed with the way they did not flee from my exhausted and over-enthused love.
