For now games look more like a slasher than RPG, anyone can tell me will we have tactical fights including skills with stances like freeze/sleep etc?. Also game world looks very linear and I have not seen many or any optional quests that are actually interesting.
I did not watched many gameplays couse I always want to see as few as I can before game release so maybe anyone will answer these questions.
Could not find answers here couse big part of threads is about romances or DLC's. As far as I can see DA inquisition have very casual community which means game possibly will not be for me:)
Since you've come to me instead wasting time on those silly gameplay videos Bioware thoughtlessly put out (and have thus decided to trust me over your lying eyes, which is greatly appreciated) I will not steer you wrong!
The game is a Third person Action-RPG like Kingdom Hearts. To be fair you can switch classes (and their linked abilities/armor/weapons) on the fly during combat. This is explained in game since the Inquisitor is linked to fade tears, he is using a personal fade rift to quickly swap gear, which has all his class abilities linked to it. So gaining Exp in this world and upgrading various skills is the Inquisitor 'gaining familiarity' with the various tools of his trade. Bioware has explained that you have enough exp to master One main class and one specialization...or you can spread it out a bit to give you more combat options, your choice.
Now side-quests are kind of neat, as at certain points in the game (and depending on who you bring) they can be solved in multiple ways. For example, Cole might be more useful on one set of side-quests that involve delivering presents (in secret) to children orphaned in the war. While another might involve you, Josephine and/or Viv organizing a state ball to convince various Orelisian Nobels to throw their support behind the Inquisiton. There are of course the usual comabt side-quests like breaking up a Tevinter Slave ring with Dorian's help, or just taking some new recruits on a training excerise with Blackwall. Each of these Quest will adjust the world state in varrying ways. The Cole one could cause the creation of a 'Santa Claus' type myth in Thedas for one.
Well there is a lot more but I won't waste this threads time, if you want I can PM you more details. (/sarcasm)
