heh! Sounded much like a PnP Player asking their GM questions about the on-going campaign, which of course is what it is....

edit:

Processed blue lyrium is slower to take effect. Unprocessed blue lyrium one-shot kill mage if they touch it.

I think the red lyrium in DA2 was not processed.

Yeah but regular lyrium poisoning is more of the "bleeding out every orifice" type of death.  Even touching it is dangerous to muggle humans and elves.

Chances are blue lyrium is linked to your regular fade magic.

And red lyrium =blood magic.

I'm more thinking that red lyrium = corruption and not just blood magic.

Corruption?

I'd say it acts like a form of mind control.

Blue lyrium also have some kind of effect of the mind , but as far as I can remember , it's just damages.

There's also the fact , it probably have a direct effect on flesh and blood , maybe it's draining power from that?

People who used it tend to end up looking like some pile of rocks.

This was an excellent interview. My thanks to both Lady Insanity and Mr. Gaider.

I like that it confirmed my theories on qunari mages- no training, used as mere tools for war. No wonder they're kept leashed as they are.

Hedge magic sounds very interesting. Reminds me very much of the wild Mage from the Baldurs Gate games. I wonder if this piece of lore will pave the way for the introduction of hedge magic characters who are hybrids of the traditional trio of Mage, warrior and rogue. Perhaps we'll get a warrior who has learnt to harness his talent into his weapons to imbue them with elemental properties, or a rogue with a healing aura. Lol.

Also my human Mage will most likely be a knight enchanter as it is a spec from within the circles.

Yay LORE

My reading of that is it wasn't just the red lyrium that did it to Meredith, that there must have been something done to the statue (curse?) to corrupt Meredith and Bartrand.

Entirely possible if Anders sensed a great deal of (bad) magic in it, but I dunno yet. Until we see 'normal' red lyrium it's hard to make a judgement either way.

No I think it is red lyrium only. David said red templars will be crazy to point mindless golem, Behemoth?. But some will be "smart" we can have conversation. Leaders most likely. I guess red templates will be Thedas Cerberus.

Look on the bright side, medieval zombie apocalypse would at least be kinda unique^^

Medieval zombie apocalypse is the least threatening zombie apocalypse. Everyone is already used to cutting off heads and smashing brains and burning with fire.

The greatest threat of zombies in the modern time is the (relative) ineffectiveness of guns.

Unless we're talking about the infected, in which guns work but you're screwed if they get in sneezing distance...

Shotgun or no gun. I'm sure it's in Jesse Eisenberg's rules somewhere.

So I'm a little lost withouts subtitles  :(  did he said that the Alistair/Fiona thing comes up in the game? or not at all I'm just even more lost than I thought?

edit: Ok, apparently I understood well, at least this time  :P

Well, it does have some subtitles, but horrible ones lol. It's a puzzle of words that you have to make a picture of. Thank goodness Maria posted highlights--which I am so grateful for. I sure wish I could have heard how sexy David's voice is, though.  :(
