Some highlights:
- A hedge mage can never be a proper mage.

That just makes me like Tevinter more.
as in "I think they're nice" or as in "I think they're interesting"?
To me it sounds like Tevinter has its own kind of Grand Game, only with less bards and more blood magic
edit: I say that also because of wat he says about Tevinter mages not sharing their discoveries, etc. which adds a lot to their depiction as a super competitive society

Nice to get Tevinter fleshed out a bit more. I wonder if there is a specific figure that was seen as the mage that everyone aspires to (similar to Alexander the Great or Charlemagne), or if it is just a more general ideal.
I don't know. Hessarian's one of their big icons, isn't he?
At least as far as the Tevinter Chantry goes.
Well now I wanna go to Tevinter even more, these people sound even more insane than the Orlesians.
Gosh Nevarra is just so interesting, I just wanna know more!
Cassandra tell me more pls
I'm surprised the companions simply leave. I expected at least one or two pulling an Fenris and coming back to kill the player.
The other part that interests me is the flirt options outside companions and advisors. I wonder if it will still have an meaninful content even without being an full romance. I admit, I loved certain small relationships, like Shepard and Samara or an male warden getting married to Anora.

Y'know... I can hear the hints of Alistair in his voice and delivery.
In writing though, he's often Morrigan or Shale ![]()

Both. I appreciate and respect the coherence of their moral system.as in "I think they're nice" or as in "I think they're interesting"?
Great to get confirmation on the origins of the Human Inquisitor. Free Marcher it is.
I'm still disappointed we can't play a human commoner but I guess being a Free Marcher adds some variety comparing to the previous games.
Or not, Leandra Amell was from Kirkwall originally ![]()
Thank you very much for the interview, Lady Insanity.
A lot of interesting information and clarifications. I enjoyed learning some more about Tevinter.
Darn. I was just about to post this interview and saw somebody else beat me to it.
I've followed Lady Insanity for awhile now. Ability Drain is awesome too.
Give MisterShizno a shot as well.
Lots of information in this interview, though. Especially about lore in general!
Thankfully we're not from Ferelden again.
No kidding.
No kidding.
I can see how being from Ferelden would be repetitive, but I somewhat wished the Human noble would have been.
At least somewhere other then Free Marches.
Ashe is THE best source for DA on youtube. i think i love her.
Humans are from the Free Marches?
But nobody likes the Free Marches. I wanted to be an orlesian. ![]()
Still, at least it's not a fereldan again.
Trevelyan is a free marcher very cool i wonder what city he is from.
I would think it probably isn't Kirkwall, as a Kirkwall origin would mean the noble should know Hawke. I would think they'd have the protagonist not know either the Hawke or the Warden personally, so that you can ask characters that did know them (Leliana, Varric, Morrigan, ect) about them.
Dragon Age 2 just left a sour taste in my mouth about the Free Marches. The concept of the region, I like. I like the idea of city states, reminds me of medieval Italy, for example. Based on demographic, not art or culture.
But it just seems like a rather corrupt place. Stuff was going bad everywhere, even beyond Kirkwall. Everybody is power seemed to abuse that power. But mostly it will be hard for me to get as attached to the background of being from the Marches as much as I could to being from Ferelden.
I liked the aesthetics of the dungeons, though. The "red sand" style caves were pretty neat.
We shall see. Might be able to get into it.

I'm tired of the barely literated backwater hero showing up those snotty self-proclaimed superior cultures trope that is popular in media sometimes.
