bah, i would love to visit Tantervale, Starkheaven and Nevarra
We probably would've gone to some Marcher cities in the DA2 expansion Exalted March, a real shame it was cancelled

You know, I had been thinking about helping the mages in Inquisition, but if those two are in charge...
I never got the Fiona hate. Adrian sure because she is willing to betray her friends for her goals, but Fiona is just very vocal.

Yeah, female Anders VS Mary Sue. It may be an oversimplification, but that's really how I felt about these two.
Not necessarily. They said Saarebas only used destruction, the Qunari mage isn't a part of the Qun. So depending on what exactly their background is they could have learned healing spells. Also the devs have said their is no "healing" tree the spirit tree seems to have been merged with it.
I use the term Qunari loosely because that word means that they follow the Qun which the Inquisitor is not. Is there a better word for the species that I'm not aware of?
Now what would really blow my mind would be if the qunari Inquisitor is also a former Circle Mage! ![]()
Possibly. Though it's not necessarily good news for me, if she's still the leader of the mages in the hinterlands.
Oh, that would be great news for my (hopefully I can be a Libertarian) mage Inquisitor.

Honestly, its less to do with the character's attitude than with Adrian, its that she's seen as too much of a special strawberry. She just happens to be the only Grey Warden ever cured of the taint, and Alistair's mother, and the Grand Enchanter. Many are also not thrilled by the way her emotional problems can be seen as having been solved through the power of sex with Maric. And yes, her generally abrasive attitude does tend to rub people the wrong way.
Well, just finished the interview. Have to say I have mixed feelings about it. There are parts I like, parts I hate, and everything in between.
What? What was wrong with the interview?

His thing about Merrill. I was glad to finally have a character who was like me in being sexually ambiguous, but then he justs rips the rug out from under me.
It'd be like later saying that Dorian was only into men on a dare and never goes back on his word so sticks with it, but was never really gay.
Nevarra seems more intriguing than ever. If DG is working on a new book, I wouldn't mind it being set there. Or at least feature some characters from that location, particularly mages. Nevarran acceptance of mages is closer to Tevinter's than any other city it would seem.
Better her than Adrian.
I think I haven't explained myself. I don't have a problem with Fiona being the leade; i have problems with how the mage leader is (or rather, isn't) controlling the mages in the hinterlands.Oh, that would be great news for my (hopefully I can be a Libertarian) mage Inquisitor.
The problem is that Merrill wasn't planned to be sexually ambiguous though. His thing about Merrill. I was glad to finally have a character who was like me in being sexually ambiguous, but then he justs rips the rug out from under me.

It was the closest I ever got since she never brings it up. So having the closest I ever got get the "lolnope" treatment really pisses me off. ![]()
Understood. To clarify, I wasn't saying you shouldn't feel angry about it.It was the closest I ever got since she never brings it up. So having the closest I ever got get the "lolnope" treatment really pisses me off.
Can someone point me to when they talk about NPC Flirt/romance option. I want to know more detail about this topic.

Though i think It's possibly that they'll make a LI that is sexually ambiguous in the future. IB is pansexual, so they're not making only bisexual LI.
I know.
I doubt it. The closest we'll ever get is like Merrill, as in someone who has never been in a relationship before and has no idea what their sexuality even is, and he has made it perfectly clear that he views them as just bisexual. ![]()
I didn't get in the interview that he's against sexually ambiguous characters though. He doesn't like much playersexual characters, which aren't necessarily the same thing.I know.

Fairly disappointing overall, but not really surprising.
Kinda seems weird that I never heard his voice before now. Silky smooth.
Better her than Adrian.
It reflects badly on her when her people are causing so much suffering.
Not that it bothers me, I never liked Fiona.

Though I understand why you're negative about it. I hope that Bioware will surprise you in this topic.
He is against people putting their own perceptions on a character because they have nothing to work off of, which all sexually ambiguous characters would by definition have since they are ambiguous.
Thanks and I hope so.
The interview in general, or the info revealed?
They have a setting bible.
