I wonder what free city were form hopefully not Kirkwall :/ what city you would want to be from ?

*Edit: I just found out from Vivienne's thread and found out. I am disappointed that we aren't Ferelden but I should of got the hint from no dogs for your Inquisitor. Hmmm, this is still intriguing because we never been a Free Marcher before.

I seriously doubt Starkhaven or Kirkwall. that leaves ostwick, tantervale, ansburg, markham, hasmal, wycome and hercinia. time to go read world of thedas or something to try and see what else i can eliminate in my guessing. and hambleton i guess

I think we can rule out Kirkwall (because we won't be presumed to know of Varric or Hawke I wager) or Starkhaven (because we won't be presumed to know of Sebastian). Plus if we're from Kirwall there's a lot of DA2 baggage with Meredith, the Qunari, etc.

I really hope not. I'm from a part of Canada where this is actually the name of a suburb. It would be such an immersion breaker.

I actually think Kirkwall is very possible because we would be connected to DA2 in some way. I would like to be from Starkhaven or Tantervale though.

Those cities don't have to have just one Champion. If a Kirkwaller would do some extraordinary feat for Kirkwall in the future, he/she'll probably become one.
I doubt the human PC is a Champion though.

from reading about them i think tantervale is most likely due to it being along with kirkwall and starkhaven one of the 3 marcher city states that have any semblance of power

None of the Free Marches cities sound interesting. If it was the Free Cities from A Song of Ice and Fire, I'd pick Braavos or Volantis.

I might pick either Starkhaven or..... Markham?

To be fair, except Kirkwall and a bit Starkavhen, we know next to nothing about the free marches. I'm sure we'll learn a bit more with the codex in DAI since we come from there.

 

Otherwise, i'm thinking Ostwick, Tantervale.

Tantervale hopefully, from what ive heard they're the best Free City imo.. Otherwise Starkhaven

I'm guessing we're the youngest child of the Lord Chancellor of Tantervale. (Youngest so we don't have to worry about succession.)
