The second largest importer of Antivan wine next to Orlais, despite being less than a third the size of Val Royaux? I think - statistically speaking - everyone likes their drink over there. :)

The strangest thing is that all the visitors see double the people than the reported population...

Apparently, twins are a common occurrence there. Must be something they drink.

Wouldn't that mean the Mage Trevelyan was at Kirkwall?

There's a Circle in Starkhaven, though.

It was burned down in Dragon Age 2.

True, but I imagine it would have been rebuilt between Act 1 and Act 3. I doubt the Templars would have been comfortable with only one Circle for all of the Free Marches. Also, it's possible that the Trevelyan Mage was in or moved to a foreign Circle.

That's an interesting possibility, maybe the Trevelyan mage was moved to a circle in Orlais.

This is from The World of Thedas, but I don't know if this is canon.

Tantervale: Chantry law is all but absolute in Tantervale, earning the city its dour reputation. The city guard is obsessed with enforcement. A street urchin would get a year in the dungeon for something that would get him a pat on the back in Orlais.

So yeah...doesn't sound like a fun place. Wycome, however... :P

Wycome: Widely regarded as the most free of the Free Marches, the revelry capital of Thedas is also the second greatest importer of Antivan wine after Orlais - particularly impressive considering Wycome's population is less than a third of Val Royeaux.

Trevelyan, please be a Wycomer...

Very interesting! I didin't know anything about cities other then Kirkwall. I still think Tantervale would be interesting as we could roleplay our inquistor as eitherbeing pro-authority/pro-chantry very easily or as someone who despises the strictness and opresseivness of his home city and strives to stand for the opposite with his Inquisition

Though Wycome sounds awesome. .

Wycome sounds like the kind of place where a partyquisitor would come from.

Or he's from Tantervale and sneaks off to Wycome every chance he gets  :P

I doubt it, but I'd like to find out. Sadly, not really into social media. Or pestering complete strangers  :P

Glad to hear that Ferelden is not our hero's place of origin. I can finally rest easy, knowing that my character won't carry the smell of wet dog.

Yeah, I'd just never seen anyone mention either of them before. Didn't know Fereldan had two circles, either. It will be interesting to see if we get any new info on the Free Marches in Inquisition.

Gah, I hope it's not Kirkwall.

Kirkwall...Kirkwall needs to be burn to the ground. The place is nothing but a heap of destruction. Look, I understand that the city is one of an adventure but the fade is so thin you can see through it like pantyhose. The place is designed as one big summoning spot.

I actually hope someone burn that town to the ground.

Probably not.  They have to make sure they don't run out of breadcrumbs to feed us in the next three months.

I asked the Dragon Age twitter, so we might get an answer.

I think Tantervale would be a good choice for the Inquisitor since it at least gives a reason why the Inquisitor would be at the peace gathering in the first place (the city is deeply religious and I imagine that either a pro-Chantry character would be okay with going and a anti-Chantry character would have no choice). Beyond that a Chancellor could not only be a leader, but a judicial role which could fit the Inquisior's role pretty well.

Ostwick would be my second guess.

If we're not from Tantervale, I'd like to be from Ostwick. You know their soldiers are going to have some good training, and it would explain where you learned it.
