So, I am playing Origins on PC for the first time (had the 360 version first) and I've finally got to the part that is both my most and least favourite chapter of the game (for the same reason), the journey through the Deep Roads.

The reason it is such is that there is so much tragedy and horror. I felt really sorry for Ruck when I first met him and readily agreed to agree not to tell his mother the truth, and when I learned the truth of the Broodmothers and how this particular one was made and what she was made to to, it genuinely upset me and stuck in my mind for a long time.

My question is, will Inquisition have any sections of the story that equal the horror and sorrow of the Deep Roads? Will we get to go into the Deep Roads at some point?

The most tragic part of DA2 was the death of Hawke's mother, but it just didn't have the same impact, nor did the revelation of the first enchanters part in it. So, I am really hoping for some intense story to chew on in this instalment (don't get me wrong though, I do love me some comic relief as well, Zevran & Alistair are two of my fav characters).

I think it has been mentioned that we will see some aspects of the Deep Roads again, plus we have the whole situation with the Grey Wardens acting suspicious, so maybe we can see the Darkspawn in DA:I.

Personally, I hope that we get more then a few side quests and/or random Darkspawn patrols to kill, I really would like to learn more about the Darkspawn as a whole, and the Awakened in particular; and I would really, really like to see the Messenger again, and see what the one good Darkspawn has been up to the past ten years.

***On a side note, I do hope that we get to see the Broodmothers and the Children of the Mother again. They gave the Darkspawn much more of a creepy body horror vibe, the Darkspawn in DA 2 were more like your run of the mill orcs or goblins (in addition to looking ridiculous with the design change).

I don't know about the Deep Roads, but I'm sure there will be plenty of horrors and sorrows to be found. The Chantry has fragmented, the templars have rebelled, some templars are capturing slaves, the mages have rebelled, the sky opened into a hell-gate... Yeah, I'm more worried about this game having beauty and happiness than anything else.

I don't think we will be revisiting the Deep Roads but then again Hawke had a field trip down there in an earlier chapter so it wouldn't surprise but despite there should be a lot of horror and grim times for us all in Inquisition.
