For countless cycles we have monitored civilizations rise and fall. In each, as the inevitable conflict between organics and synthetics nears, an organic, a brash young military soldier, is slain by a synthetic drone. After countless cycles we have concluded that this event is a key factor in reaching a viable solution to the problem of chaos and order. Until that soldier survives the encounter, the cycle must continue.

Too late, Jenkins died again on his first mission but really it was his 6th as is my 6th play through.

This should have been part of the Catalyst's speech.

Halo Trilogy > Mass Effect Trilogy
In all seriousness though, I do love Mass Effect, though. The top 2 game series for me

I'll say it again for the 6th time, and yes, I counted: "Tell me another story about the Shepard."

This is very off topic, but I never understood the appeal. I only played the original Halo, and it was nice, but it never enticed me to play any of the others.
On topic: I just finished my third playthrough, or fourth, not sure and it was awesome, this time with the mehem mod. I might be tempted to start again.
Enjoy!

An interesting and consistent plot, paired with well designed gameplay and missions. Not to mention the amazing soundtrack.
Like I said, the older three games had a much more consistent plot than that of the ME trilogy as well

Say goodnight to Manuel for me.
I can't believe I have never tried that. I really have to stop mashing the X button through ME1 dialogue.

Yeah, I think so too. Half Life had a shot, but it's too little too late.
HALO and Mass Effect are the best. Maybe Metal Gear Solid, but there hasn't been a good MGS game since MGS4. So... Yeah.

Finished the playthrough. Once again blown away with the story and looking forward to when I do the 7th run. Did every mission and side quest in each game. 18 hours ME1, 42 hours ME2 and 48 hours ME3. Kaiden died in ME1, Saved all the Normandy crew and all 12 team mates in ME2, got No one left behind achievement, Went full paragon in all 3 which gave more options. Saved Wrex, saved both Tali and Legion after calming them down giving both races to the war assets. Got achievements for getting most War assets. My best ever run through.
This is who died (from ME to ME3) - any know a way to save any of these?
EDI - As Shepard chose to kill Reapers and which also killed all other Sinthetic life but organic lived.
Kaiden Alenko - ME1 - had to choose between him and Ashley.
Thane Krios - Killed by an assassin but he stopped the assassin from killing a council member.
Charles Pressly - On board the first Normany as it was attacked by a Collector ship in ME2.
Legion - Sacrificed himself so other Geth will get their own free will.
Mordin Sollus - Sacrificed himself so the cure for the Genophage would work.
Steven Cortez - Shuttle driver - Shot down in final battle.
Admiral David Anderson - Shot in final Battle.
All others are other Alliance members, possibly when Normandy was attacked by the Collector ship.
My character Mimi Shepard - Activating the Catalist and bringing the war to an end.
Can't Wait for the next Mass Effect. Will probably do another full playthrough in about 6 months.

Yes, saved EDI before but every play through Cortez has died so nice to know there is a way to save him.

the only way for the robot to remain functional is to pick blue or green
For Steve to live, talk with him on the ship to take a break, and then talk with him on the Citadel 3 times before going to Chronos
Mordin can live if Eve is dead and Wreav is in charge

I also just started a new trilogy playthrough. Installed a graphics mod for ME1 to bring it up to par. First time I'm doing a custom face (always used Sheploo). Just got off Eden Prime, and my feelings are mixed about the face. I was never good at making them, not that the character creator's limited options help much ![]()

Ha ha, every new PT starts off with one or two nights just messing around with the CC. The Shepard for the next PT is actually already done, really look forward to seeing her in the game.

First off, even though this was your sixth playthrough, I suspect you have missed an awful lot. If Cortez dies on you it indicates that you are not running around the ship after every mission to talk to your crew. Or perhaps you are not checking your map when you are on the Citadel to see who is available to talk to. Either way, you have apparently missed out on many dialogue opportunities.
Second, it is possible to save Mordin, but only at the cost of killing Wrex (or having Ashley kill him) on Virmire, or by simply not recruiting Wrex at all in ME1. If you take either of those paths in ME1, then destroy the cure data in ME2, or just skip Mordin's loyalty mission altogether, then Mordin can be saved.
