Looking for info on what various melee rotations do in terms of dps/dpm, what's the most effective. Or what do you find the most effective yourself? Assuming something like this might exist which I somewhat doubt. Peeked at the resources but other than getting the base values of melee dmg and enemy health nothing on actual rotation or timing.

I don't want the highest sustained damage over a minute against mooks, I'll want dps for a few seconds for that. But when I'm pounding on the back of a boss that's currently occupied with the puggernaut I might want the dpm. I don't necessarily mean what's the best melee, but what are the best heavy versus light melee rotations. With the Warlord, when is it best to 3 combo vs heavy melee spam? Slayer/Shadow, Fury?

For instance, with a Krogan, I'll Heavy Melee, but then what comes next? There's a pause before you are able to Heavy Melee again, oftentimes I'll sink a light melee into that, er, "Internal CD mechanic" but that puts me a little over when I know I could be starting that Heavy Melee. DPS gain but I wonder if I'm gimping my dpm... or is head(s)mashing consistently better on mooks; but only once you have your 5A melee kill buff?

Shrug?

Melee GI has the highest potential damage output of any character, even the so-called melee specialists.

Light melee on the Slayer is good for keeping a high amount of DR, and it does moderate damage, but it's not the most practical.

As for the Fury, avoid melee as much as possible. Trust me on this one.

Pick GI > Charge Venom > Run to spawn > Cloak > Release Venom shot > Proxy Mine > 2 Heavy Melees

Disruptor rounds of course

Well, I use the Venom (or Graal) on a lot of my melee characters (stagger is good for melee kits, and guns that don't need smart choke or HVB allow use of the Omniblade) so the cycle involves alternating charged shots/tapped shots with HM and/or detonating power for ammo effects... That's a good question about the efficiency of melee attacks/cycles, DPS/DPM-wise though.

There are good melee kits out there, but one stands out from the rest when it comes to damage and he's made for melee. The Talon. Of all melee characters I found him to be the most effective but he's not your average hack and slash type.

Basically all you need is a stagger stick and your AP arrows. (I prefer bolts)

GI has the highest potential and also the highest learning curve. Absolute wrecking ball if played right, pain in the ass off host on bad connection, also on maps like Hazard Ghost.

Honestly, it's probably the Warlord. But the Warlord's a douche.

Melee Valkyrie is pretty awesome if you're looking for something outside of the box.

I just wish she didn't get tuckered out so easily.

One thing I never got to or understood is the melee GI, but I've seen it's awesomeness in match and though it might have been the player, I'm still impressed by what I've witnessed. That melee kit just might be the top but I believe it's also the hardest.

The melee I find I use the most of non melee centric classes is the drell.  (yeah this observation is off topic.)  The Drell is so fast and his melee is so fast you it can help a lot with mooks if you get in a bit of a tight spot.  Melee is basically all fugged up in this game as a primary attack in alot of cases which is too bad.

Whatever is left standing after a Kroguard HM receives a quick headbutt or two to follow up. That usually works out for me with the HM CD. I don't really care for the maths - everything is good that either kills or takes them out of action.

The Vanilla Human Adept is fun, too. A high five that knocks humanoid enemies across the map.

GI is actually probably the only kit where by going the melee route you keep your killing efficiency very very close to using a top notch build with a top notch weapon... At least on gold. Against cerberus it might even be better, at times.

But yeah, dangerous as hell and very hard to do it right.

Interestingly, the word "pause" does not have a literal translation in the Krogan language.  The Krogan refer to any period of time in which they aren't hitting stuff as Krungslaknof, which roughly translates as "time for shooting Claymore."

Armiger turians are awesome melee kits too. All of them have ways to boost melee attacks - havoc has havoc stroke, TGI has cloak and saboteur has sabotage (TV). They hit pretty hard, and have AoE to their melee.

With a hybrid build with a good gun and flamer? Can't say I've seen that...

I have a lot of fun with the Human Adept Palm of Destiny. Slap a singularity on a mook and send them to the moon. Probably not the most efficient... but it sure is fun.

The Only Melee build I actually enjoy is the Shadow.

I take the power while cloaked evo so I can attack a group by SS'ing the first guy, then HM the guy next to him (before he knows where it's come from!). By this time the low CD I run means I'm ready to cloak and SS again.

The way I've written it  sounds dull, but I have great fun with this build.
