First up let's get this straight I'm not talking about armor at all here.

I don't want my different characters to wear the same clothing when in social, or non violent town settings.

In DAII you wore this:

If given the chance to do so I'd like to remove the armor at times, the Ball and in the Keep for example, and walk around in some clothes.

It'd be weird if the Qunari, Elf, Dwarf, and Human wore the same thing. I'd like to see some clothing that would be racial specific, some that would be special, a few everyone can wears, and some that would be tailor made in say the Orlesian Capital.

That said I think there should be some other items that could be added to your chosen attire like hats, glasses, eye-patches, or monocles.

One thing I wonder about would be Enchantments! Would you like to be able to have Sandal Enchant your clothing with something to bring down the price of goods, or make people tell you stuff they normally wouldn't?

If we have an Orlesian ball quest requiring fancy attire, I hope we get to keep the fancy clothes.  I will happily make my Inquisitor walk around the keep in a ball gown.

I would like casual clothes options, but it's not very high on the totem pole for me.

Gentlemanly Fashion for the men:

481px-John_Hancock_painting.jpg < I can imagine an Orlesian wearing this.

And for the Ladies:

I'd like as many clothing options as Saints Row (including arseless chaps). Or pretty much anything Regina wears in Once Upon a Time.

Well in the demo, they showed what I assume are the PC causal clothes on the female Qunari. Not sure if well get any more options then that.

I really like the Ferelden commoner dresses for women, particularly those worn by city elves.

Wow. That second picture is pretty close to the robe I plan on crafting for my Inquisitor. Popped collar mages FTW.

I'd really like for the Inquisitor (and other characters) to have casual clothes they wear when hanging out at Skyhold, I also hope that armor restrictions have been removed, because I loved the Human Warrior's armor from the PAX/Digiexpo demo and I'd like a mage to wear it. During the E3 demo, in the inventory screen, it took a minute for the Qunari Inquisitor's robe to load, and you could see that rather than a naked model, she is wearing clothing underneath, which layers with the armor. I thought that was a nice touch. I really like the shirt she (and all Inquisitors so far) have been shown wearing.

I would like casual clothes options for the PC but also for the companions and advisors. And i like the idea of having fancy clothes to attend an Orlesian Ball  :D.

I would like that, too - IF I geht the option to REFUSE to wear it (my Inquisitors don't like foolish gowns (even the female ones)...they like attire that is at least a little practical (like ornamented - leather or metal - armor and robes with fancy embroidery) and has at least some defenses (being without is stupid - even more so in Orlais)...like a leather vest that can stop an attack with a dagger for example or some fancy robe with chainmail incorporated into the design)

greetings LAX

ps: I would love to be able to change clothes, as long as I am not forced to conform to some ideal (like: a female has to wear a gown...I don't like that and neither would my girls...as I stated in another topic: I like non-conventional girls that are not girly (while at the same time not being over-competitive tomboys either) and think more practical than the average woman does (no: that is not a slur, most girls - and I repeat: most - are not very practically minded, most like beauty over practicallity and usefullness, they'd rather have something fancy that makes them look good than something that is sturdy, can take a beating and lasts a long time!)

I really like it too.  The decorative bodice (embroidered?) really catches my eye everytime I play.

Yes op I feel the same way a lot of variety in casual clothing options would be fun I read some where that someone wants to go shopping with Viv a
Josie and Leliana which I think would be cute especially with banter options.

These...including the hats.dragon_age_3_concept_official_by_xkalips

I think that what you wear should always be optional, including wearing armor to a ball or a gown into battle---and those choices should come with benefits/consequences in both scenarios. In the case of certain non-combat sequences that involve formal occasions or diplomatic meetings there should be some kind of bonus to the DA:I equivalent of the Persuade/Charm/Intimidate skill that you would gain by dressing like the people whose assistance or allegiance you are trying to get.

I also think Vivienne's attire options need to be MORE impractical, theatrical and ostentatious. Her final character costume kit version on the BioWare blog seemed rather tame compared to her adjoining text description.

I would like to see a walking cane added as well. I was looking through 16th to 18th century fashion last night and a lot of the Gentlemen all had these great looking walking canes.

Look at THIS - I adore the 18th century cane with the watch. How cool is that!

Wouldn't it be great if the cane could double as a concealed bladed weapon or staff? Like if you went to an Orlesian ball expecting trouble (obviously...this is a video game after all) and the cane was your emergency combat tool.
