They messed with Leliana's shoes.

Too far, for that he must die!

I'm fairly certain Leliana was tortured by magical means most likely mind games. That'd also explain why she said that noome should have that kind of power and why she frowns hostile upon mages henceforth.

Winged dragons in DA are female and it could well be we came close to her nest in the demo.

Leliana = Liara, even their names start with the sane letter. She is a writer's pet so shes supposed to look unrealistically badass
Anyways some valid points were stated.

1) yeah, not a fan of these fetch quests since DA2 and ME3, but what can we do..

2) can live with that, its a walking XP

3) Well i actually felt sorry for the dragon, its a brutal fight slashing its bodyparts, and seemed painful. But i guess they should be treated like bears - XP and loot.

4) see first comment. I wouldnt go into Leliana complaints but at least absence of lipstick would have been nice

I think it would have been better off for them not to show anything at all, just to avoid the incessant whining about small details that are insignificant to everyone but the most critical people in this forum.

All of your complaints are premature until the game is released. Til then I'd suggest a neutral stance if you are so inclined to be permanently disappointed.

They are certainly not going to reveal any big spoilers in the demo. Do you really think you would understand everything without the context?

At any rate, Leliana is probably not going to be the one to go that castle in my playthrough.

Rogues never fare well against mages. Too squishy.  Warriors do it much better.

I would not even go to Castle Redcliffe at such an early stage. I mean the Inquisitor was just Level 7.  I would mop up the Templar vs Mages mini fights in the area, check out the Codexes, do the side quests and THEN enter Castle Redcliffe.

Wow. What a wonderful attitude ! Let us all be silent, just accept everything and be submissive recipients ! Lovely !

I am posing these points precisely because the game is not released and they have some chance of fixing it. After the game is launched, Bioware will not likely change any of  these things.

The side quest thing could be fixed with a few lines and adding an investigate option. Leliana can be fixed by removing her make-up and making it look like she had been tortured. Fixing the quiver issue and Sera's weird tumbling animation can be done as well.

Allowing us to assume control of Vega and Sera is obviously much harder to do but at least they know that players out there want agency, want control and want to actually try to hold the line, as it were. Maybe they could implement that idea in a DLC.

So taking a neutral stance now and critiquing later is not a very good thing to do. Simply because small things like this won't be fixed by then.

True but we have the option, I assume, of either sending in Leliana or Cullen for this mission.

When it comes to storming a big castle where the Veil was weak in DA:O & now torn apart,  filled with mages and demons, even as a mage Inquisitor, I would pick the ex-templar who now commands our army for assault. He has experience dealing with enemy mages and demons after all. The bard, Leliana, might be a Hand of the Divine but the ex-templar, Cullen has dealt with stuff like this before.

I would use Leliana for scouting or information gathering, not assaulting a mage stronghold like that.

I must admit, the whole Leliana scene bothered me a great deal. It was extremely unrealistic and I felt like I was in a Michael Bay movie.

I'm still pretty optimistic about the game in general but I'm kinda concerned about this "badass action" we saw in the demo.  I'm just no fan of this "Bioware goes Hollywood" thing they are doing in their latest games.

*snip*

I think it might have been them walking away from the conversation that triggered the "farewell". If that is the way it goes at all times it would be a bit weird.

It is still miles better than the ME3 stalker method or the DA2 method of knowing where everyone is. Even if all sidequests are that shallow.

If the scene were edited like a Michael Bay movie, you'd see two dozen quick cuts, wouldn't be able to figure out how many torturers there were, and find yourself wondering how Leliana's shoes could cause a random explosion.

And there would be giant robots.

HUD in the E3 demo looks like a gross opaque mistake by someone who has no sense of selecting color scheme. How can it exist in a world where Skyrim, Halo, and Assassin's Creed already exist?

Bullshitty nitpicking of a demo which was made using an old build of a game

I'm pretty satisfied with everything they showed. I don't need too much gore in the game anyway, it's simply uncomfortable even thinking about it. I won't send poor Lelianna there. And I doubt we can send other advisors, since Josephine is hardly a fighter and Cullen is hardly a spy... I kind of wonder who else could we send? Agents, maybe?

It would either focus on her ass or boobs in a Bay movie. This scene involves a female.

On that note, she at least would have been stripped out of her armour, which would make sense if you're going to torture someone.

So because they used an old build of the game, I cannot give feedback ? That is the demo they showed us after all.

You and I have different standards and wants. You might be satisfied, I am not.

You don't want gore and want comfort, I want realism.

We could probably use Cullen and our troops to storm the castle instead of sending assassins and Leliana to do the job.

The only thing that I personally noticed in the demo was how would a Dwarf inquisitor release Leliana. Those chain where pretty high for the Qunari.

I actually had to check it out and yeah, the HUD looks off as well. In parts of the Redcliffe Castle you cannot see it properly.

LOL ! Maybe our follower would do it. We can only have 2 dwarves at most in the party.

You're asking for fixes for something that hasn't been finished yet. This is akin to judging a painting before it's finished. I'm not asking you to not have an opinion on the demo but you aren't even considering the fact that the build is an outdated pre-alpha build.

For all we know the final version will include a lot of polish that includes blood and gore that havent been implemented yet.

I mean do you think that I liked everything that was shown so far? Hell no. I just give them the benefit of the doubt because I know that they know what they are doing.

Furthermore, the developers may pay attention to their fans but they know way more than you ever will regarding game development. A lot of things that may seem "obvious" were likely cut due to constraints (or not even shown in the demo).

As I said, the game isn't perfect and it will have some problems but the constant barrage of "disappointment" threads regarding unfinished content serves nothing but to irritate the developers.

TL;DR: If someone walks into my kitchen and tells me my food isn't seasoned properly when I haven't even finished the meal yet, I'd take the pot and pour it all over them.

I'm more worried what will happen if we don't have a rogue with us

I'm sure she survives, somehow. But geeze, now I'm never leaving the castle without at least one rogue. Just in case of saving someone's ass from a torture

I hope that if you play a dwarf there'd be a special animation for getting a stepladder.
