Yeah she was spying on random guy/girl that she could never meet because well why not?

What if you don't recruit Leliana?
Eamon and co know you found the Urn, and that you went chasing after Genitivi. It's fairly logical that people would be able to trace his route with a bit of hard work.
Trevelyan was the name of an English Colonial Administrator stationed in Ireland during the famine, he was responsible for delaying food and monetary aid to starving peasants stating that the famine was "the judgement of God", his name is mentioned in The Fields of Athenry, Ireland's second National Anthem, so that's nice...
Yep, first thing I thought too when I heard the name. I'd find it pretty hard to play human with people calling me that.

I don't think it's been stated where exactly the Peace Conference in the beginning of the game takes place, but it would make a lot of sense if it took place in The Free Marchers. After all, that's where the war officially began with the end of Dragon Age 2. That should make incorporating the Trevelyan Inquisitor easier and more organic. Better than it taking place in Fereldan or Orlais where The Trevelyan Inquisitor is a Free Marcher in a peace conference in Fereldan/Orlais because "reasons."
Yet to be revealed why a Warrior or Rogue Trevelyan is at the Conference, but it can't be too hard to come up with a reason. Incorporating the Mage Trevelyan should be super easy, if they are still part of The Circle by the time the Conference goes on.
I can already see a Mage Trevelyan having unique conversations with our other mage companions, especially Vivenne, considering his past perspective on being a mage, being that he/she was part of the circle. Of course every mage Inquisitor will have a unique perspective of being a mage before the Inquisition, but I'm personally digging the fact that Trevelyan was a circle mage. Just like our beloved Warden(s)!

As others have mentioned it's been stated that the peace conference happens in the Temple of Sacred Ashes/Andraste.
As for the city-state I think the human Inquisitor is from Tantervale since the city reportedly has a very strict religious government/political climate/etc and if we're the child of the leader of such a state I think it would make sense that they'd attend a conference that's hosted by the Chantry either willingly or forcefully (read: pressured by family).
Could be that depending on the class of the human we just end up on different sides of the discussion.
"For England, James!"

If anyone would like to offer the proper pronunciation for Trevelyan I'd appreciate it. People were saying it sounded "so obviously Fereldan" (before it was announced we're a Free Marcher) so I'm thinking I've been mispronouncing it wrong the entire time. I've been saying it in an Orlesian/French style, a la Tre-vuhl-yehn.

Well, I have no idea how Bioware are having their voice actors pronounce it, but, when we sing The Fields of Athenry, we pronounce it "truh-VELL-yin." If that's not clear, you can hear the pronunciation used in the song here: https://www.youtube....1rzSSMsac#t=29s

Thank you, I never heard of the song & I certainly wouldn't have guessed that particular pronunciation. Much obliged!

Huh. I've been pronouncing it truh-VEIL-yin.

Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.
...
Maybe not the best example in this context!

Hey, look, I was pronouncing it right!
So that means if we killed brother genitivi to keep the ashes safe they still find it. that sucks
Actually, you can keep the Urn safe without killing Genitivi.
When you first meet Genitivi and he's injured there's a persuade option you can select to make him return to Denerim. If successful, he'll return and you can find the Urn. Once Eamon is cured (providing you haven't defiled the ashes) if you simply don't speak to Genitivi ever again, he doesn't technically find the Urn. The epilogue at the end of the game will mention the Urn's location was thought to be have been found but when research teams went to investigate the ruins, it wasn't there. This happened for me so I can confirm this.
Anyway, sorry to get off topic there ![]()

Well given a certian bard become the left hand of the divine she would have told people where it is, so in that case think of it has she betrayed the warden.
Not necessarily. In the Epilogue in the end of Origins there are two ways that the Urn quest can go. If you don't kill the High Dragon at the urn and/or don't take Genitivi with you to the Temple, the Urn disappears and is not seen again. If you do kill the Dragon and take Genitivi with you he takes his info to the Chantry and they take control of the Urn(Not moving it) but they do arrange for people to come see it and partake of its healing.
So if Genitivi doesn't advertise it and/or the Dragon is alive the Urn disappears. No betrayal by Leliana.

I believe most people assumed it was Ferelden because when you google it this pops up:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevelyan
Since Ferelden is often compared to England and/or Britan a lot of people simply assumed we were from Ferelden again. I for one am very happy we are not and Free Marcher is perfect (assuming we are not from Kirkwall)

That's almost as bad as the Inquisitor being named "Cromwell".

Well ****. ![]()
David Gaider said no such thing. Where did you get this? They specifically said all humans are nobles, just that the Mage went to the circle, but they didn't mention them losing nobility because of that.
We were not in Ferelden anyway.
Indeed he did, watch Lady Insanity's interview with him.
The Mage Inquisitor was born into Nobility but surrendered his/her status when they were sent to The Circle. That happens in ALL noble families, excluding Tevinter.
Including the Amells (specifically a human mage warden) and including Connor Eamon from DA:O.
Can't tell a mage from birth. They only begin to show signs of them developing magic a few years into their lives. Until then, they are still considered nobility.
So obviously the mage won't be able to use their nobility when interacting with people, but I wonder if there's any quests that involve friends of the family that would still be willing to help the un-nobled mage out.
Think of it this way, we'll probably get a unique quest for the Human Mage, maybe something to do with their previous association with The Circle?
"For England, James!"
No, for me!
Vashoth mages are probably apostate mercenaries. That's the one background where I don't expect much difference between mage and non-mage.
I believe Qunari mages were confirmed to be Circle mages.
I could see the warrior or rogue Qunari being hired muscle though.

I only recall a Human Mage confirmed to be a Circle Mage.

I thought it was during that interview with Lady Insanity.
Perhaps I'm mistaken.

Yeah in the interview that was only said about Human Mages. Not Qunari. No worries.
