I'm a starting this for people vent. Whatever you want. I don't care.

 

I had already planned to romance both Sera and Dorian but I also wanted a straight romance which seems unlikely now given my options. I think the straight romances are crap. I have a feeling I will never get to have a straight romance as a female Inquisitor.

 

There is Cullen and the Iron Bull both hate magic and mages. One wants them all dead the other wants them in callers, their tongues cut out than sow their mouths and eyes closed.

 

Even if I don't play a mage I will be connected to the fade. 

 

The only way I may get a straight romance if I want one is to play a male inquisitor and romance Josephine. Because Cassandra is out she is just a female version of Cullen.

 

I just hope I get a straight romance for a female Inquisitor that isn't a zealot that hates mages and magic, even if they are race gated it would be a better option than my Inquisitor being executed by her lover at the end of the game.

 

These are just my personal feelings on this.

Hence the romance thread being reduced to late night fish puns.  I'm sure our regularly scheduled program will resume in a few hours.

Cassandra's no female Cullen. She's the freakin Hero of Orlais. Cullen is the guy who gets other people to do his work.

 

Not sure where either are on their current beliefs and fears though. You should wait and see. The game isn't out yet.

He is a templar and she a Seeker. The Inquisitor is connected to the fade. It is their job to kill or control people with connection to the fade.

If that was her only job, she'd be a Templar. Seekers are more like the Internal Affairs in a police department. It's her job to put the smackdown on Templars just as much.

A job she failed at horribly. If she didn't than I doubt this mess would have happened.

We have met them already. Cullen in the first two games and Cassandra in the second game. And we dealt with a crap tone of Qunari, a group of which wanted to kill you just for being related to a mage.

mess?  i thought all the mages and templars were enjoying a nice tea party with wine and cheese that tastes of despair (cause obviously nobody drinks tea at a tea party)

I would assume over the course of the game if you are a mage and the characters you listed truly hate mages and want to kill everything that has anything to do with the fade that a worse case scenario is they dislike working for you but have their orders and slowly come to see not all Mages are bad (unless you play someone who does everything they disagree with and they end up leaving you, which is possible) and have a new outlook on life by the end. Lots of times in Bioware games it seems the PC is able to change the companions following his/her's outlook on life.

 

Plus, opposites attract. A mage+A templar? A Mage+a Seeker? Sounds fine to me.

How about you wait for the last two romances to get confirmed before you jump to conclusions? Just relax, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Besides, in Cullen's case, he has good reason. Mages tortured and harmed him--again, much like they did with poor lovely Fenris. Iron Bull has been brainwashed by his society. 

 

Me, I enjoy having a challenge to sink my teeth into. I LOVE writers when they force me to really think about which options to choose to convince the characters around me that I'm right. I find it delightful to watch the slow evolution of characters. Hopefully we all will once October rolls around. (Can it be now, please? *glares at clock*)

I can't really think of anything to bang my head about.. Other than waiting for release. I was a little frustrated with too many humans in the group, but I'm over it.

Yeah. Both of those are a little frustrating though I am glad for the long wait. Gives me time to save up to get the Inquisitor's Edition.

I have never liked Cullen and not a fan of the Qunari either. I haven't like either since Origins. 

I do understand Cullen in the first game, he went through hell but before that, I found him creepy.
