I think the inspiration for Andraste was indeed Jesus with a mix of Joan of Arc. Andraste was not a virgin no, she had several sons to Maferath. But the comparisson doesn't have to be perfect.

I never really thought of Joan, but I suppose it makes more sense, Joan led French armies to victory over the English until she was captured and given to the English. Andraste isn't Orlesian though but the similarities are there somewhat both being religious female warriors who were made martyrs.

What?!?!? If there is no one I like amongst the available romance options, then it is OBVIOUSLY a conspiracy within BioWare to attempt to sabotage my enjoyment of the game, and I will NOT stand for it!

I think its interesting that characters having conflicting views at times since in a way(aside from it being a fantasy setting) is realistic since people are so different from each other in a number of ways beliefs being one of them. When I played DA:O I butted heads with Morrigan a number of times but it just(for me) when her friendship and in one playthrough her love which made it very rewarding. I intend on playing a mage I do so to break down the walls between my companions and I.

I have never encountered a DA romance option that I was unhappy  with nor one who I gave up on just because of a difference in a opinion. Sure I was disappointed when I found out certain characters were not options or happy a different orientation but heck that's life and everyone has their own flavor whether its sweet or sour.

Maybe you'll enjoy the interactions with those characters maybe you wont but that's alright really.
