Is there anything else that you would like to send along with the treats? There is already one member that wants to write a thank you letter on behalf of everyone -- ShadowReign -- but if there is anything else you think would be a good idea then let us know below. :)

Nope, I'm good.  Say it with cake.

I like the idea of the cake and the letter, can't think of anything else at the moment. :)

I'm good with the cake and a letter. And maybe the cookies.

Will we have the option of writing small individual notes like the Femquisitor thread?

Yeah, if that's what people want to do then we can send individual notes with the thank you letter :)

I don't really have anything I want to add as a personal message but if it's important to others then I'll support it.

OK, awesome! Part of the reason I ask is because (directly relevant to this thread's subtopic about adding anything else:) I have a personal rule about matching or greater donations to charity when I buy things I really don't need. The past few months' worth of these expenditures have all been DA related (this cake, some merch, my copy of the DAO Ultimate Edition for XBox when I already had the regular edition for PC, and a HoDA gem pack), so I thought I might sponsor a few beehives via Heifer International in the DA team's honor, and that they might like to know that (without directly notifying them through HI, because that results in being added to their mailing list, or, like, tweeting at them or something, which would almost definitely come off as self-congratulatory).

But I would want that just to be a brief aside in my mini-note otherwise devoted to game-gushing, like "PS: We also sponsored a few beehives via Heifer International in the DAI team's honor; hopefully that's enough bees for a few jars", and I wanted to know if you guys would be okay with me saying "we" instead of "I" even if no one else is in on that part. (Not that I would object at all to anyone joining in on that, just don't want to solicit that from anyone or to distract from the main point, which is CAKE!) Or if that would be weird, someone just let me know, and the bees will remain secret bees. :)

That is an incredibly cool idea. I'm on board. Plus, there are bees in DAI, so...;)

Agreed. It's a cool idea. I admit that I didn't get it at first but thanks to your explanation I think it's pretty neat - especially if you write something like "hopefully that's enough bees for a few jars". LOL. I'm willing to contribute but I'm afraid I can't spare much.

Absolutely fine with me.  :)

OK, great! I'll drop that in when we write up our notes, then. Anyone who does want to participate is welcome to PM me, but (again) I definitely don't mean to solicit that, and it will be marked as from all of us either way.

As we are getting closer to the delivery of the cakes I would like to offer once more my support for project "bee hives" :). As I said above I would like to join you and contribute a bit but I can't send you a private message because your profil is set to "privat". Maybe you could send me a message instead with all the instructions? Can I send you the money via PayPal?

That's really awesome that you'd like to help! Sorry about the profile thing, I totally forgot it was set to private.

I'll be happy to collect anything anyone wants to chip in and then I can add them together and round the final amount up to make an integer number of beehives (in addition to the ones I'd been planning on already).

Give me a day or two to verify with PayPal that my account is now "business" and therefore anonymous (I was surprised how unhappy I ended up feeling about the fact that my real name and primary e-mail went on the one I used to send Giggle cake money, so I'm just going to eat any fees involved with "upgrading"). I'll post the PayPal contact info and a date to send by once they get back to my e-mail.

OK! Anyone who would like to chip in a buck or two for bees can PayPal any amount they'd like to owlfruitbees@gmail.com any time before the end of the day on Friday 10 October. I'll send HI the $ the next morning, and since other people are going in I'll ask if we can postscript a notice of that to the main cake note instead of just my mini-note (although it will still be marked as from everyone involved in the cake thing for simplicity. And I hope we are still doing mini notes--I saved all my thoughts for that when the #IPlayBioware tag was going on!). I will also post a screenshot of the electronic receipt here just so I'm not pulling anything over on anyone. :)

How much does the bee thing cost, out of curiosity?
