I like dragons - I don't mind killing a few in the games, but having to kill every single one I see (with the exception of that one summoned by a gong in Origins) isn't something I'd like to do. Any chance of at least one dragon that doesn't try to kill us in Inquisition?

You could always run away when you see a dragon.

Dragons in Dragon Age are apex predators. If it's hunting or you're trespassing in it's territory, it's going to want to attack you.

You can no doubt avoid many of the Dragons in Inquisition, but I don't think any of them will be "friendly" as such.

Flemeth's a friendly dragon...

Kind of.

I don't think we can rule anything out, but I wouldn't be surprised if all the dragons are for killing. Which is fine by me. Killing or befriending, as long as it's dragons I'm not bothered.

Of course. I'm not about to rule out the possibility of a non-hostile Dragon. But I can't see any appearing in Inquisition. Personally, anyway.

But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'd like the idea of taming a dragon. But being friendly by itself I don't think it's something that happens in this universe. Could be wrong though. Generally speaking I'd like to play a DA game that deals mostly with dragons and their lore. Like for example explain how they came back from extinction, dealing with dragon cults and all the bizarre things involved.

I'm curious to see if the number if Dragons you kill affects the ending, like how the number of people to kill in Dishonored affected the Order/Chaos level endings, or killing Little Sisters affected your ending in the first Bioshock.

After all, the books have alluded to the fact that dragons are an important part of the metaphysical nature of the world ( I believe they were called "the blood of the world" in The Silent Grove). So even if they attack first, wiping out dozens of them through the course of the game probably can't be the best thing in the world.

We do not know the level of intelligence of dragons.  Animals in their territory are hostile towards encroachers.  In the comic we saw dragons friendly and protective to a witch, but I've never seen a dragon at a tea party or even hanging with other adult dragons.  They don't seem very social.

This is like asking for a friendly grizzly bear.  Dragons in Dragon Age are not sapient.  And they're usually hungry.

i can see it now, bioware remakes "Pete's Dragon" and right as Helen Reddy(sp) begins to sing "Candle on the Water" Pete eats them all.  Especially the dude selling all the quackery.

i'm not being sarcastic or rude, i want this to happen.

maybe cole isn't a demon but the spirit of Pete's Dragon in human form!!! that could explain all the invisibility and hi-jinks

there are dragons that have been 'tamed' like the ones in the cult in origins, they were being raised by the cult and being fed by them, so those dragons wouldnt have needed to kill them as they were being fed the food they wanted, but i am positive that if they werent being fed, those cultists would have been eaten in a heartbeat like everyone else

Umm, sure, I'd love to have dragon buddies. Are you kidding?

If they'd be anything like Paarthurnax, Odahviing, or Durnehviir, ala Skyrim, heck yeah.

Dragons are simply animals they don't talk and are hunters.

Flemeth. Possibly Morrigan if she trained her shapeshifting skills.

Taming a dragon to use for the strength of the Inquisition would be nifty :D

There was a girl from a Dragon age movie that has the ability to control dragons. I forgot her name...

Oh my gosh, I love night furies too! They are so amazing... :D

But now talking about DAI... I heard that we will get lizard mounts, so I'm guessing that we will be able to ride wyverns. I hope that happens too!

I don't like the fact that dragons in Dragon Age aren't unambiguously intelligent (and I mean human+ levels of intelligent).  Non sapient dragons just get on my nerves.  They might as well just put dinosaurs in the game.   Making dragons more "realistic" is just silly.  Keep your sci-fi out of my fantasy, please.

While I doubt that we will run into a talking dragon (sans Flemeth) I hope that a similar option to how the dragon cults 'appease' the dragons is available.

The dragon in Origins was intelligent enough to realize that the Dragon cult was feeding her and taking care of her young and so she did not attack them on sight. I am hoping that I can do same with our Inquisition and essentially have a few 'watch dogs' patrolling some of our more valuable keeps. We keep the dragon fed and protect her young, and in return she would see the attacking Red Templars or demons (for example) as a threat to her free meal ticket and will aid in the keep's defense.
