I hope it's Vivienne and Solas. I don't really know who I think it'll be at this point.
If I was a bettin' gal, I'd put $100 on Vivienne at this point. She looks extremely likely.

Blackwall is going to be a really sad romance if he is one. I'm not sure why people are hoping for that? I guess if it happens yay for them, but honestly it's like hitting your chest with a hammer on purpose. I predict lots of tears in Blackwall mancers' future one way or the other.
Thane was a pretty popular romance in ME2 and if the player thought he was going to live in ME3, they weren't paying enough attention to his dialogue. They made it very clear that it was an incurable disease and players still did it anyways. Some even called it their favorite romance, despite what his fate is in ME3. Not to my taste, but I get the appeal.
I am really hopeing for Viv and varric. If not not varric just hopeing for her atleast

I disagree. In ME2 his symptoms were very much like cystic fibrosis where it effected his lungs and the intake of oxygen - and was possibly treatable with lung transplants (per Dr Chakwas' email in the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC). In ME3 they completely retconned the disease and made it a blood disorder more similar to sickle cell and completely untreatable. Bait & switch.
Also, in the Alliance News Network weekly updates prior to ME3 Bioware wrote a couple news articles referencing ME-universe scientists pursuing cures for Keplar's and how current treatments were looking positive, etc etc...leading many to assume that this would be a plot point in ME3.
A Grey Warden is doomed no matter what, unless they pull a Fiona and somehow cure the taint?
Anders has been the been the most heart-wrenching romance experience I've had out of Bioware games, and the heart-wrenching part didn't happen until the very end. I enjoyed the ride nonetheless. No, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but some people get a kick out of romances that bring those kind of emotions out of them. I crave emotional reactions like that now, after years of supplying tears for the writers...

That didn't stop people from romancing Alistair or Anders.

The first thing I'm gonna do when we find Fiona in the game is asking her how she cured her taint. She should share that info.
most desired: solas (bi, don't mind if he's race gated as long as he's available to elves), don't care about the other
least desired: any pair that doesn't have solas...
This is pretty much how I feel. lol
I want Viv to get a spot for equality's sake, though.

Every romance can't end in tears, obviously, but I like it when one of them does. It's really, really intense, and it's an excuse to spend an evening in with a box of Kleenex and a bowl of chocolate ice cream.
But we don't know that it will end in tears. He was around during the Fifth Blight, so he has to have been a Warden for at least 10 years, but we don't know what effect the Veil tears will have on Grey Wardens. For all we know, it may remove the taint entirely.

I think that's a bit of a stretch if the Veil tears randomly cures all Wardens of the taint
Panel. They announced it in person, not online. : P
Uhhh I was at GaymerX and never heard anything of the sort. Did one of the devs tell you personally?
The only info I know we have is that there are 2 race-gated LIs, and Iron Bull was a third, but isn't anymore. I know that cuz I asked David in person if Iron Bull was one of the 2, and he told me no, that there are 2 race-gated LIs, and Iron Bull had been a 3rd but wasn't anymore. He didn't say whether those 2 were LIs that had been announced or whether they were the ones who haven't been.

Yeah. I could see that doing some interesting things to Tranquil mages, but I don't see how it would affect the Warden's Taint.
My guess for the remaining two are Vivienne and Solas/Varric. I think Vivienne is going to fill one of the spots and that Solas and Varric are more likely to take the other spot for the sake of diversity. Solas being the male elf romance or Varric being the first dwarf romance.
Edit: Blackwall has a chance, but, personally, I would not expect him.

I really think this is more Bioware failing at biology than bait and switch. Immunology with the Qurians was also completely ridiculous.
Vivienne is almost guaranteed, assuming they want to keep the male/female ratio equal. Then either Solas or Blackwall. I would prefer Blackwall but I can see it going either way. I can't see it being Varric.
Tbh I can't see it being black wall considering that there are already quite a few romancable humans available, and on top of this, he doesn't look to me like he exactly has too many years left before the taint kills hims. Maybe it's just me who thinks that I don't know, but from what I've heard/ seen so far viv and varric seem likely. But maybe they'll surprise everyone and add two men.

Ah, that's right. Sorry, then. I misinterpreted what was said.

Oh, I'm not arguing against romancing a Grey Warden, just on the comparison to the tragedy of Thane's romance. I think a GW romance is perfectly viable, it's just Blackwall's age paired with the Calling that escalates the concern a bit.

True true.

I'm not sure if age really matters if you consider that most likely everyone except Leliana is likely to be dead at the end of the game anyway. It's going to look like the last scene of Hamlet with dead companions littering the final battleground and the inqisitor, the LI and the Big Bad in a final showdown. Then the hero and LI sacrifice themselves to destroy the Big Bad and there's a cutscene of Leliana going on about destiny and a tie-in to DLC.
Sorry about the snark. I'll go eat something and I'll feel much better.
Most desired:
Blackwall/Solas
Middle favorite:
Blackwall/Varric
Least favorite:
Vivienne

Not necessarily. He's in his 40s, and if I'm not mistaken, we don't know when he took the Joining. Not to mention that the Calling isn't always a definite thirty years. David Gaider said he never meant if to be a law and regrets having Alistair say that. When there's no Blight going on, Wardens who take the joining can end up living for up to forty more years.
I'm leaning more towards Vivienne and Varric myself. Mainly because Blackwall seems to be all about his duty as a Grey Warden and being a good guy. Solas seems like a recluse and a scholar too focused on his studies.
