I predict the remaining romances will be Vivienne/Varric, and as much as people want to see Blackwall/Solas romance I think they fit better as father or mentor figure to the Inquisitor.

I may be wrong though, but at least I'm looking forward to see Viviene romance.

I both want AND predict that the remaining two romances will be:

 

Vivienne, bisexual, race-gated for Humans and Qunari/ Varric, bisexual, race-gated for Elves and Dwarves

 

Vivienne and Varric being the remaining race-gated options make the most sense, to me at least. Vivienne seems to be the type of person who would deny certain races (the "lesser" races of Elves and Dwarves) a relationship in order to preserve her social standing, and Varric was implied to not be attracted to humans and has a thing against Qunari. I, also, believe they will be bisexual to maintain symmetry and equality among the romance options and because having the option of Varric in addition to Dorian and the Iron Bull would make my testes explode.

 

Blackwall seems to be a mentor figure and is a bit old for your standard Bioware romance option. Solas would fit as a bisexual option from what we know of him so far, but he seems to be against thinking of people in terms of race. For that reason, I can't see him being a race-gated option as it would break an important part of his character.

 

Honestly, though, any combination of romances with Solas would be my least favorite. Nothing against Solas as I'm interested in his character, but I would hate having yet another male bisexual elf option when I could have the affable and ruggedly masculine Varric as one.

Still anticipating 2 more male LIs. Namely, Blackwall and Varric. I'm having a hard time accepting the possible reasons for Solas being race-gated; the "dwarves don't dream" thing isn't remotely a good excuse, IMO. If he is available, I hope the story arc is more compelling than "I can't be bothered to connect with real people outside of dreams". For the record however, I would prefer he and Vivienne as the last two so I might let such a thing slide depending on the portrayal.

 

In any event, I wouldn't be surprised if race has very little to do with why certain PCs are denied and the rejection is related more to your background (explaining why you can only be Dalish, Vashoth, Noble-blooded, etc.).

Hmmm...it seems denial of Blackwall being close to calling is still a thing, and there was a skipping of anger straight into bargaining for a cure-fade tear seems a bit far fetched though.  Depression and acceptance will happen near or when the game comes out.  Don't get me wrong, I would 100% love it if I'm wrong about the Blackwall situation, but It just seems so terribly unlikely.  Far more likely to win the lottery at this point.

My guess is Vivienne/Solas, both bi are the remaining LI's.  Viv human only, Solas elf only.

The Inquisitor can be upwards of 40 years old.  So, unless there is some crazy blood magic involved, I don't see how Solas or Blackwall (both in their 40's) can be your character's father figure......

I'm aware my personal favorite is unfair, it's just an example of what would be my selfish desire. I think the most fair combo would need to contain Vivienne, to make gender options equally distributed. Also, for the choices to be bisexual.

I doubt Varric is going to be straight, I definitely see him as being Bi.

Gay men get Iron Bull and Dorian, gay women get Josephine and Sera. Seems equal to me.

 

I honestly think the best option to make it equal to all would be to have Vivienne as bisexual + a bisexual male companion, so that it equals out to 3 choices for everyone (at least I think it would, right?)

Yes, this is what I'd like to happen. I have my preferences, but as long as everyone gets equal options, I'll consider it a huge success even if it's not my ideal choice.

Heck, even though Solas and Varric would make me the happiest, if it ends up as that, I would be kind of disappointed. So many people here are hoping for everyone to have an equal choice, and I think it's very important.

I think it's a given that Vivienne is one of the two remaining - a gender line split makes sense, four of one, four of another. She's the only remaining female who has not been confirmed who could be a romance. So like I said, pretty sure she's a given.

 

Honestly, given that Varric was a constant companion of Hawke's for the better part of a decade yet nothing ever happens, I can't imagine that the Inquisitor is different. MAYBE if he's race-gated to dwarf only, but that's a lot of work for a race that, in Origins, was played the least. Though given fan reaction to Varric, maybe it's a way to ensure that the dwarf Inquisitors get rolled. I don't know, I just think he's unlikely.

 

So that leaves Blackwall and Solas as possibilities. Honestly, I favor Solas in this. Part of that is my own crush on Gareth David-Lloyd/Ianto, so I'd like to romance him strictly for that. But also, given that age was explicitly part of Blackwall's characterization that was revealed, I can't help but wonder if there might be a plot involving his Calling being near for him. Not that they haven't done doomed romances before, but it makes it seem unlikely in my eyes.

 

So my money is on bisexual Vivienne and Solas, both potentially with race-gating to humans and qunari for Vivienne and elves and dwarves for Solas, and the qunari/dwarf part are a maybe.
