I feel people complaining about screen shake are being hypocrites.. because 2/3 of the powers in the game shakes the screen. Biotic/tech explosions shake the screen, even simple powers like Overload shake the screen. Several Destroyer players hate the Hawk Missile Launcher because it shakes the screen, but Multi-Frags shake the screen so hard it about turns the screen sideways.
 

 

It is the mentality that 'only I can do it to others and others can't do it to me'. In other words, just human nature.

there are varying degrees of screen shaking, and varying degrees of dickishness involved with them. I stay away from the extremes, and I would like it if other people show the same amount of respect towards their fellow gamers.

I don't like screenshake, but I blame Bioware for that design choice, not the ones who play those kits.

I neither complain about people using any sort of power they want (including flamer & snap cheese) nor refrain from using any powers I want.  Scorpion pistol's a little weird, though.

I don't really like the screen shake but that's not gonna stop me from trying to snipe through it. Cause I'm nuts like that. If I do take a shaker and I see a teammate trying to snipe, I'll be courteous and stay away from them. Then again, I usually end up sniping a lot on Hazard Giant where the 'hazard' is screen shake. Not by choice though just the roll of the RNG dice on U/U/Gold or Plat.

I only really have a problem with screenshake when someone is following my sniper around spamming it.  My BatSent is basically a SW spammer for ammo detonations.  Though when I play him, I generally try to be good about staying a bit of a distance away from the other players when I can.  Though the poor guy has been kicked a few times after matches with too many hacks/escorts   .

This is no joke, I once played--this in PS3--with a Venom-crazy Batarian Slasher in Glacier, where like in every second he would shoot Venom to the ground shaking the screen. At some points the screen of the game would tilt sideways for a couple seconds before correcting itself.

 

I was actually quite amused and entertained by his shtick.

If I want to be a TGI with a harrier X because I just want to sit back relax and listen to music and not have to worry about anything then so be it.

Well you can play whatever you want but it's only common courtesy not to spam it on your teammates face. On the other hand, people who can't handle screenshake should solo or play another game cause it's really everywhere in ME3MP.

Screen shake is only a problem for me when I try sniping. For some reason I always seem to get someone tagging along with me and spamming shockwave when I try and pick up some sniping medals or weapons use awards points.

I have never been put off by it. I guess it would be a little annoying for a Sniper user if the rest of the team is using those powers

Nades, Shockwave and biotic boom-boom are all very useful things, so screenshake is a necessary evil. The Slash powers (and their spammers) are not. Hence the rage.

Who needs powers when you have Venom + Cluster Grenades! The only way to ruin a sniper's day.

I feel the same.

No one shakes the screen intentionally. We can´t stop shockwave from shaking and I don´t expect other players to stop using their powers just because BW designed them with stupid screen shake.

If someone politely asks me to not use them when they snipe(or whatever), I´ll try my best, but othwerwise I think one would have to go crazy from all the thing we are not supposed to do according to BSN.

I don't use HML cuz it shakes mah screen when I'm firing mah gun. MFGs shake screen when I don't.

I don't care if people use screenshake powers. But I will stay away from them unless we have a hack/escort. I don't care if someone spams shockwave, but morons that spam it right near me and follow me all over the place are annoying and deserve to be fed to crab.

Let people play what they wish and stfu about it. If you can't snipe through screen shake and flamer spam, reroll in the lobby.

I guess everyone has their "irks".  Screen shake doesn't bother me tbh.  CoD had/has much worse shakiness, so I guess I just adapted. 

 

Now obsucring my vision, that is annoying (think Flamers).

 

I try to be courteous to my teammates (e.g. I won't spam Shockwave near a sniper, unless it's to throw an enemy off him/her that they didn't notice). 

 

But at the same time, I want to play what I want to play.  I paid for my game just as much as the others.

 

Although Lashing an enemy just about to be headshotted by a teammate and hearing them curse you out over the mic NEVER gets old.
