Well considering the direction this thread's gone...

I always thought Danger Zone would be the perfect soundtrack for a fast-car video, eg Gran Turismo or a lap of the Nurburgring. But nobody seems to have done it. :(

ObTopic: no grills allowed ofc, because everyone knows that fast cars are guys.

The one surprising thing about this thread full of crazy is the number of regulars volunteering to discuss physics over voice-chat in a plat glacier hazard game.

Ok, so I made those last few bits up, but you gotta admit it would be the most awesome match ever, especially for some poor unsuspecting pug(s).

If I could have physics nerds constantly discuss physics over voice-chat while I'm playing games I would've dropped out of school in a heartbeat and play video games all day. I'd be like Einstein except if Einstein also happened to be an MLG player.

an old topic, but the few confirmed via voice chat girl gamers I've played this with have been about 1/3 "Girlie" kits, 1/3 avoiding girlie kits and 1/3 just playing whatever (alebeit with nicer attention to color)

The few times I was stunned by beautiful color schemes on characters in live games or on video, they definitely belonged to male players. I can even name a few, that's how stunned I was. IAMxSHADRACH has this amazing geth trooper with iridescent shades of blue and green flowing over a metallic background. Then there's the succession of Rustinman's characters, all painted in reds, oranges and yellows so as to simulate rust (with varying degrees of success, but this looks utterly awesome under tech armor). I just love Chealec's pink krogan (soldier? sentinel? not sure); might be it was intended to be violet, but it comes across as pink and the adorableness of it is in exquisite contrast to what a deadly kit it is in such capable hands. Also I must say I'm growing on simple schemes, like what one can see on ex-Clusum's asari and turian characters (and the black fury) - unassuming, but very effective.

At various points I had a mind to set up some color scheme for my characters, like a sort of hallmark or what have you - but I don't have the patience for it. Most my painting happens while waiting for friends to join my lobby and often ends up sloppy. :D

I suppose this is even farther from the thread subject than physics in the thunderdome, but I felt like sharing.

Sounds like a load of BS to me.  The guy was either trying to ****** you off, in which case I would have engaged him heavily with reverse psychology, or he really is an ignorant piece of trash, in which case, F that guy.

No room for people like that in this world, never mind these servers.
