Nah, He-Man is holding a battle sword with a six pack abs and bear pelt over his package. IDK about you but that's pretty damn hard to measure up to.

I tried his super hawt attire one time but the girl jumped out the window when I pulled out the battle sword.

Hmm... I might give you some input from a woman's side but I would need a picture to be able to judge :3

I dunno, that He-Man is pretty damn unrealistic. I'd say even more than the Barbie doll. So how it that empowering to men? It creates the same unrealistic expectations.

It's unreliastic, for sure, but it's how men have always seen themselves. It shows men as Strong and Powerful which are attributes men, as a generalisation, want to be associated with.

The unrealistic stuff women get is skinny with long flowing hair and big boobs... which are all attributes men have wanted for women.

It's obvioulsy not Barbie-specific (any more than it's He-Man specific), but western culture and media in general.

I wish I had saved it, but I saw a demonstration once where they drew idealised men as pictured by women. They look nothing like He-Man.

I'd jump out of the window if my love dressed as Barbie.

Well the bear pelt plum smuggler had the gears turning in her head, the battle sword just kicked that mental process into overdrive.

Thank god you didn't get to the giant green tiger.

I don't really find the gender of whatever kit I play in any game is important.  If it is unique at least.

For SP I played Male Shep but for MP I'm as likely to play a female kit as male it isn't part I consider when choosing.  Though there is much appeal to having to look at an Asari ass for a whole game rather than a Volus one.  On the other hand following the Asari around from a Volus's point of view is even better

Pink_Ass.jpg

sry, i'm bit late....

hmm...man this pic is ooooooold, what kit was i playing anyway?

looks like lorduzur could use a hand.

regardless of the kit i guess i'm on the way to Uzur ;)

OT:

everybody should play what she/he likes.

i've seen many girls play GI and all of them were ridiculously good   (i may skip the names)

My wife plays a mean Krogan.

Buy what does she play on ME3? boom boom

Playing a different gender character makes no difference - all it does is adding to the variety. (And a chance to look at a female bottom a whole match.)

Playing with a different gender player makes no difference either - all it does is adding to the variety. (And a chance to listen to a pleasant voice.)

I know several posters in past commented that the female nova guard makes a less annoying/more pleasing grunt noise.

I have been mistaken for a girl when playing asari.  That is more bizarre in my opinion.

This happened to me years back when I was messaged asking if I was a girl or not (whilst playing an asari). I'm assume it's just players who don't know anything ME lore.

It wouldn't be surprising if some people showed a preference for kits of the same gender as themselves, but most people don't, and what that person said to you is literally one of the stupidest things I've ever heard- that girls should only play asaris and furies? Really?

I have a preference for playing the same gender in single player. In multiple player it's all about the abilities and good on Bioware for having female characters with good and different range of abilities so you want to play those characters.

Play whatever YOU are happiest with. :wizard:  This game is meant to be for fun and you shouldn't be railroaded into not doing something just because of your gender.

Women are generally more critical of women than men. I find rail thin women with huge boobs kind of unattractive. I'd rather have girl next door hotness over fake any day personally.

Basically, both depictions are empowering to men.

I play Geth units.

No heart, no soul - just a silent sentient killing machine.  Too bad they don;t make Geth sunglasses.

No that is not what I'm saying. What I said is what I'm saying- Legion has feelings. His last scene in ME3 and other moments display that he is not just a simple machine.

"They're fools. You should eat them."

Some of the best players I've played with are women. Take Dragon Racer (no, really, take her! :P I'm just jealous of her Hurricane X), she's usually maining a Turian Sentinel and doing it very effin' well. That's just one example.

I forgot to say that the majority of the kits I am playing with are Asari, even though my main kit as of late is the Batarian Sentinel Team Player.

I'm usually on the Asari Huntress. Last time I checked, I had male parts. But, they're interchangeable, so whatever.  =]
